[Volume 1] Awaken Devil Denisa lived all her life in her chambers, being the obedient princess who promised to marry the Crown Prince when the time came, but the future was filled with uncertainty and dangers waiting right around the corner. Her curiosity to see who was in the coffin made her break the coffin, and without thinking much of the consequences, she broke the seal of the coffin, unleashing the Devil out into the world. Zanuel, the soul eater and the oldest demon alive on earth, was locked away, sealed in the coffin, by the Ogre clan for slaughtering the whole village. He had no idea when he would be able to walk out of the dungeon, but when he did, the first thing he wanted to do was kill the woman who let him out, but he couldn't. He was at her mercy, unable to leave, and his obsession and possessiveness over her grew every minute, as if he were bewitched by her. He ignored all the cautions and continued down the dangerous path that would ultimately cost him his life and bring him dangerously close to his death. But that did not stop him, because he did not want to live with the regret of not being able to save someone he loved.
