In a world where faith itself turned against him, Keita is left pondering on ways to define his existence. Raised on stories of justice and courage, he believed the world would answer the righteous in kind. But the world answered with cruelty instead. Branded a monster and rejected by society, Keita learns that heroes aren't chosen by virtue, but only by convenience.
In a medieval world governed by Ryu, the fundamental force of the universe that binds cause and effect, power manifests through Spiritual and Physical Cores within living things. Knights, mages, different races, and beats all draw strength from this system.
However, Keita is born with something that should not exist, a Causality Core. Wounds that should kill him do not end him. Cause and effect fails to conclude when it reaches him. Every time he survives, reality fractures, and unresolved consequences are cast into a hidden realm called the Black Archive. Constructs created by gods, drift the cosmos with their role as editors, removing any anomalies within the system.
Cast into a role Keita never chose, he stands at the edge of truth the universe tries to erase.
