In a world governed by the Hierarchy of Will, a man’s strength is not measured by muscle, but by the density of his intent. From the Base Will of a commoner to the reality-warping Godly Will of a deity, the ladder of power is written in blood.
The story follows Kaito, a simple baker in the industrial dystopia of Azerion, whose life is incinerated when the corrupt White Hunter Guild targets his home. To protect those he loves, Kaito commits the ultimate sacrifice: he fakes his own death and discards his humanity, rising from the ashes as the cold, enigmatic Nihil Fade—the "Shadow Fang."
The Gathering of Exiles
Guided by a thirst for vengeance and a mysterious resonance within his soul, Nihil travels to the Pirate’s Bastion of Mizaka. There, he begins to manifest an External Will—a terrifying power known as the Void, which allows him to manipulate threads of darkness and create domains where he is the sole executioner.
Nihil assembles the Shadow Path, a crew of elite outcasts and legends:
Kanjo Machinora: A high-tier swordsman seeking his own path.
Zereth Kaivor: A retired "Sea King" who recognizes the divine aura within his new Captain.
Blake Machinora: A mercury-wielding noble driven by family loyalty.
Yuri & Hakimo: The emotional heart of the ship, providing medical aid and engineering genius.
Mukata: The eccentric navigator of the sentient ship, Pygo.
The Voyage through the Maw
Setting sail for the treacherous Black Maw Sea, the crew’s mission is clear: capture the legendary Sea King, Hatumi Sato, and secure the resources needed to topple the regime in Azerion. Along the way, Nihil’s power grows to a frightening scale. He befriends Yoru, a 300-year-old Sea Serpent, through pure empathy—revealing that his "Void" is not just a weapon, but a reflection of his own profound loneliness.
As they sail, ancient lore is unearthed. Zereth realizes that Nihil is not just a prodigy; he is the vessel for the Will of the Moon, a Godly Will once belonging to a companion of the deity Asura.
The King’s Island Tragedy
The adventure turns into a nightmare upon reaching King's Island. The crew finds the Sea King already slaughtered by two SS-Rank nightmares from Nihil’s past: Yurata and Yanto.
In a brutal ambush, the "Shadow Path" is decimated. The crew’s tactician, Alther Veldonia, is executed before Nihil’s eyes, and the young Hakimo is left at death's door. The trauma shatters Nihil’s mental seals, triggering a horrific evolution of his power.
"I see your powers now, Shadow Fang. You aren't a man; you're a cage for a God."
Nihil manifests a Void Boundary, trapping his enemies in a space where time and death obey his grief. In a fit of divine madness, he executes Yurata one hundred times in a single second, reviving and killing him in an infinite loop of agony. Though the villains manage to escape, the cost is absolute: the crew is broken, a friend is dead, and Nihil has lost the ability to distinguish between the man he was and the God he is becoming.
The Current State
The Shadow Path stands at a crossroads. Stranded on an island of corpses, the survivors must find a way to heal their Captain’s fractured soul before the Will of the Moon consumes him entirely—all while the White Hunter Guild prepares a global hunt for the "God walking among men."
