[Book 2 of Abyss Gazer series. Recommended to read Book 1 first]
Three months after the victory against the Demon King and the unification of the Holy Sword, Kael was living peacefully in Yunlan Village together with Lily, Frost, and his closest friends. However, that tranquility vanished when an old leather scroll was discovered in the ruins of the Demon Palace—a letter from himself, sent from fifty years in the future, from a different timeline.
The warning was terrifying: the Demon King they had defeated was only one of three brothers. The other two were still alive, trapped in other realities, waiting for the right moment to return. One of them had already begun to move—smarter, more cunning, and far more patient. He would not attack directly. Instead, he would destroy their unity from within.
The only clue led Kael to a legendary being he had never encountered: the Dark Dragon, the ruler of the edge of the world, said to have been born before the creation of the nine layers of reality.
Accompanied by Lily, Frost, Ling Yun, Lina, and the spirit Aldric, Kael set out on a journey westward—crossing uninhabited grasslands, traversing oceans not recorded on any map, heading toward the edge of the world where the sky met the sea and reality itself began to thin.
But they were not alone. The shadow of that demon brother had already infiltrated the alliance of the three sects that had been so painstakingly built. Suspicion began to grow, friendships were tested, and an unseen enemy moved in silence. Amid the threat of a fraternal war that would shatter the unity they had fought so desperately to achieve, Kael had to find the Dark Dragon before it was too late—and answer the question that had haunted him ever since he read the letter:
If his future self had sent this warning, why didn’t he directly reveal how to defeat the enemy? What was he trying to hide? And what was the price of changing a destiny that was supposed to happen?
