When a Sequence 9 Silence Syllable falls into his feeding trough, Vance’s modern, data-driven mind activates an anomaly—a sterile, isolated mental sandbox known as the Blank Terminal. Here, he can parse the eldritch horror like raw code. To survive the instant mutation, Vance calculates the perfect conceptual sacrifice. He deletes the concept of "Respite."
