I Summon Saints, But the World Calls It a Disaster

Vikram_Kumar_4252
Every summoner in history has been a threat. The last one burned a kingdom to the ground in a single night. Forty thousand dead. One man and his army. The government sealed his class and pretended it never existed. Eight hundred years later, Orrin Pryce wakes up on an awakening platform in a dying frontier town and gets that exact class back. He didn't ask for it. He didn't want it. He just wanted a class good enough to get into the capital's academy so he could find his sister. That was the whole plan. Get a class, pass the exam, find Lisel. Simple. Instead, the System gave him golden text. A notification nobody in the hall had ever seen before. A class that wasn't supposed to exist. And three skills blacked out and sealed behind a lock he can't open. Now he summons holy knights made of golden light. They fight in formations no other summoner can use. They don't break. They don't stop. And every time he calls more of them, the sky turns gold. The problem is that the Oversight Bureau monitors every summoner in the empire. They have agents in the academies, spies in the military, and a director whose personal ability can detect lies from ten meters away. If they find out what Orrin's class really is, they won't arrest him. They'll do something worse. The last summoner they "assessed" didn't come back the same. So Orrin hides. He tells people he's Rare grade. He shows seventy percent of his army and keeps the rest in reserve. He answers questions with questions and keeps his head down. But his army keeps growing. His formations keep getting stronger. And people are starting to notice. His best friend is a Common grade caster who refuses to accept that his grade means he's useless. His healer partner watches everything and says nothing and files it all away. His rival is a sword saint who can't decide if he respects Orrin or hates him. And somewhere out there, a woman named Ember is sending him encrypted messages about why his class was really sealed, and what actually happened eight hundred years ago. The answer is worse than he thought. His army wasn't lost in the Brightfall. It was taken. By something that's still alive. Inside the System. Watching him. Orrin doesn't want fame. He doesn't want power. He wants to find his sister and keep his head down and not get anyone killed. But the Veil is cracking. The Rift is pushing through. And when the eastern frontier starts to fall, the Bureau orders a retreat and calls two hundred soldiers acceptable losses. Orrin doesn't retreat. He steps onto the wall. He raises his hand. And four hundred golden knights descend on the battlefield in a formation that hasn't been seen in eight centuries. The sky turns gold. The breach seals. And the Bureau opens a file. The protagonist recreates other weapons that used gunpowder in this fantasy world and tries to form an industrial society because in their noble territory it's just a title - they don't own a fiefdom. It's like 'Release That Witch,' because here the theocracy really holds so much authority that even that duke or king can be labeled as a heretic if they want, so they also persecute wizards and other races. The story still revolves around the kingdom where the world is really big and full of different races. Give it a try if you like a kingdom-building romance, where the protagonist is using modern knowledge as an advantage. I don't remember it having a system, but I think his 'golden finger' is more like a lineage.Rank B-Obs: It's extremely tiring to read at more than 600chps Raaah wtf is a kilometre Its 1000 metres, its the kilo of the SI Unit ...... wanted by the devil's incarnate[BL]: love After A kill.

Dark romance x mature content x slow burn. ****Blurb***** "Look, I have an Escalade, by the way." Fedora's lips folded. He had no idea what to do with that information, but he figured if he just indulged the man's ego, it would end faster. Faster, my foot. Miguel swallowed hard, his voice dropping to a low, predatory whisper as he leaned in. "All my offers, and any other thing you can wish for... I will get it done." He beat his chest softly, his eyes darkening. "If you can just follow me outside. To the back of my comfy Escalade. It's been a long time since I had a bitch served... in my car." He finished the sentence and swiped his tongue across his lips, biting them with a raw, sexual hunger. He waited for the final reply, already getting high on the thought of cupping that tiny waist with one hand and burying himself in that Chanel-scented skin until the boy pleaded his name in parables. Fedora went stoic. He was completely frozen, the world stopping as the shock and bewilderment hit him like a physical blow. He scoffed in disbelief, his jaw practically hitting the floor. 'Back of the Escalade. Bitches served in a car'. "Me! Fedora!! Bitch!!! Served in the back of a car!!! Unto delicacy!!!! Gosh!!!!!" Fedora muttered, the words replaying in his head like a record skip. A dry, hysterical laugh escaped his lips. Oh, this was the height of it. He wasn't going to stand there and let another man disrespect him. Never. Miguel took another step closer, his head hovering over Fedora's, dominant and sure. The boy hadn't said a word; he was definitely giving in, Miguel thought. He leaned in further, waiting for the "yes" but what came next?! It was, by far, the least expected thing any living human being would have the guts to do to him. Behold, it was no other than a hot, non-withheld, redirective, and resounding SLAP!!!! †††††††† **************** Fedora loved him. Miguel loved him too obsessively. Possessively. To the point where devotion blurred into control. Miguel wanted to be involved in everything that touched Fedora’s life, and he proved, time and again, that he would go against his own will, spill blood, even die if it meant keeping Fedora spoiled, protected, and tethered to him. On the surface, Miguel was everything anyone could dream of. Until Fedora fell so deeply in love that he hit rock bottom and realised the darkness there was too suffocating for both his aesthetic and his sanity. He thought he knew Miguel. He was catastrophically wrong. Fedora had been blind to the beast he let into his heart. The truth comes apart slowly, cruelly: Miguel is the reason Fedora has no family. The reason is that there is no life for him beyond Miguel’s shadow. And worst of all, Fedora had chosen him anyway, his memories erased not by force, but by misplaced devotion. “Pick a gun and empty it into his brain.” The solution sounds simple. It isn’t. Fedora doesn’t know what’s real anymore. He can’t tell if what he shared with Miguel, the man he once humiliated in a bar, the man who later became his lover, was genuine love or a carefully staged performance fueled by manipulation, guilt, and obsession. The cruel irony? Miguel is wrapped around Fedora’s fingers, tight as a rosary around a nun’s hand. And yet, Fedora is still the one trapped. Now he must decide. Will he avenge his family? Will love survive the truth? And if Miguel dies, will it be swift… or slow enough to satisfy the damage left behind? This isn’t a romance. It’s a beautifully brutal descent into love, control, and consequence. Enter at your own risk. ********* . warning!!!
