In his Realm of Will, the Sky Word Emperor said a lot but was subtle in his warnings.
He first told him about the archaic cultivation methods that humans practiced, which sought to devour other people's essences- immortal foundations or simply the immortal vessels in today's language. It made sense to connect that these Supremes also practiced a similar method of cultivation, or their very being was something that grew from converging essences, causing them to seek more, swallow, and devour.
Secondly, the Sky Word Emperor told him that his reincarnation essence was being coveted.
Davis had little idea as to what reincarnation essence was in reality. If it was not his soul, he supposed he would form one during his Law Merge in the Exalt Heavenly Tribulation. It made sense to think they were after this essence, but his Law Merge wouldn't simply be just for Reincarnation Essence.
