Lu Wei handed Xi Yuan a cup of coffee, shutting his laptop with a decisive click as he sank into the couch beside him.
Rong Xinghe was still asleep, her breathing soft and even. Xi Yuan hadn't left her bedroom for hours, save for a quick shower just to keep himself functional. His devotion to her never wavered. He couldn't be anywhere but by her side.
The rest of the Tigers were catching up on sleep, exhausted from the night before. It was Lu Wei's turn now to stand guard by their sister's side.
"I was in the middle of a conference call," Xi Yuan muttered, raking a hand through his hair. "It wasn't some water-cooler gossip call, you know?"
Lu Wei chuckled. "Well, your employees just saw the CEO of Lu Corporations sitting next to you on camera. For all they know, Xi Corps is planning a billion-dollar partnership with me. They're probably already buzzing with excitement."
Xi Yuan rolled his eyes, but the reluctant grin gave him away.
