The Nile was always considered the longest and greatest river in the history of planet Earth. However, it was also the mysterious one, for the Gates of Time often appeared here. I lay down in the depths of the Nile in Egypt. Once I thought enough time had passed, I flew out of the water and landed on the golden sand, basking in the hot sun.
This body had the cold affinities, while mine was the complete opposite. Mine was the Fire affinity. However, the body of that weakling is the most suitable body for me to possess.
A while ago, I possessed that boy's body in the Isle of Prisons after being sealed away for countless years, and a few days ago, I completely took over his body.
Who's that boy, you ask? He's what he calls himself, the Lord of Ice, Orion Fistore. Who am I?
I am Set, Egyptian god of Chaos, and lord of the chaotic flame of the sand!
After I evaporated the water droplets on my body using fire, I looked around at my surroundings.
Everything around me was sand; the desert was endless. But for me, that was the most beautiful thing in this accursed world. I took a deep breath and said, "Ahh... I adore this smell. I missed you, golden desert of my beloved Egypt."
With a slight grin that sounded completely evil, I flew off into the air and towards the nearest city.
Soon enough, I reached one. You'd think that it was the modern world, but guess again, you idiots. This is the true Egypt! My Egypt!
Yes, that's right, this is Ancient Egypt, where we Egyptian gods ruled over these barbaric humans! And I, Set, returned through time to my home, the home that hates me, the home that I will soon destroy!
I should describe the city, I suppose, for your modern mortal minds could not comprehend the majesty of the ancient world. Even though humans in this time were barbaric, not that it has ever been otherwise, whether it was the past or the future, they excelled in designing their cities.
With a grand pyramid at its center, the city was roughly three times bigger than modern cities. On the pyramid's feet, the palace of the nobleman who has the highest ranking here is built. The area around the pyramid was all for the rich, of course, and the outskirts were for the normal people.
As for the poor, they weren't even considered people in human eyes. They were just lowly slaves who had no value. And I must admit, even though I hate to admit things, especially if they concern humans, that I think the same way.
Everywhere you look, you would see statues of us gods, although they look nothing like us. And they even depict us with the heads of animals for no reason. Sure, there are a few animal gods, but that's all. They shouldn't put our main gods with the low-ranking ones.
But that's all you're going to know, I'm getting bored of describing all of this.
But hey, let's do something more fun. How about killing? Oh, yes, I adore killing, and the most amazing thing about it is the screams of pain of my victims. Ah! Seeing their agony gives me so much happiness and satisfaction!
I have been sealed for more than three trillion years and haven't killed in a long time. My hands are trembling from the excitement of inflicting pain on these miserable barbarians.
Alright, let's do this! I can't wait!
I hovered above the city and spoke in a voice that everyone could hear clearly, "Lowly mortals, listen well. I am the god Set, and I have claimed your life as offerings for me to devour. I will kill you, of course, and it's going to be very painful, that I can promise you. So, are you ready? Because I am! Hahahaha...."
And with that, I extended my arms and said, "Come forth, my Chaos Flame!"
Immediately, a flame that was so strong that it had no rival in this chaos-verse, Primordial Fire, started covering the city, and along with it, the screams of the dying could be heard.
"I'm going to love this!"
