Yu Qi opened her eyes. She found herself standing somewhere completely unrecognisable. Her surroundings were pitch-black. She began walking forward into the void, having no idea where to go. She simply followed the flow of the emptiness.
Eventually, a door materialised out of the gloom. She moved toward it and turned the handle. The moment she opened it, a blinding white light flooded her vision, forcing her to instinctively close her eyes. Once her sight adjusted, she slowly opened them again. She found herself standing in front of a wedding ceremony.
It was a beautiful garden wedding. Guests were smiling and cheering, showering the happy couple with blessings and words of congratulations. Driven by a sudden urge to see who was getting married, Yu Qi approached the altar.
