Chapter 94 - Talk of the Town (1)

Garden Ford Tavern and Vast Ocean Courtyard.

These two things were the talk of the town ever since its opening yesterday. Yesterday's customers could not stop talking about how good the food was. The common description for the food was "heavenly" or "otherworldly".

But what shocked the commonfolk the most was that this level of feedback extends towards all of the food in the menu.

Connoisseurs even highlight the fact that, "Each meal in the menu is an entirely new experience! It was as if each meal had its own culture and identity!"

A menu that truly reflected its tagline of a Vast Ocean of Flavors!

Those words caused the inhabitants of the town to be curious. Every single individual that set foot in that restaurant left with a satisfied expression and a satiated appetite.

But there was another thing that attracted people who were hearing reviews about this newly established restaurant. It is that setting was compared to a nature's paradise! The entire theme of the restaurant having a rustic, natural and mystical atmosphere intrigued people even more!

It was emphasized how fragrant the surroundings were and how relaxing the overall atmosphere was.

The service of the owner was also impeccable. People say that he could make personalized recommendations from the menu based on their preferences or even cravings for that day!

The last thing that grabbed people's attention was the rumors of a red fairy that would serve your meals. She was incomparably cute! Her shy responses and her cute efforts to help around the restaurant captured the hearts of the people who dined there.

A menu filled with varying cuisines with impeccable flavors, an inviting ambience and a plethora of unique Aspects. This restaurant had everything a brand needs to invite people to come and dine within it.

...

In Cirrus Cloud Town Square, the buzz of the Garden Ford Tavern and the Vast Ocean Courtyard became the main topic of the salespersons. It was especially true for the salesladies who liked to gossip.

"We definitely should go to that Garden Ford Tavern!"

"I heard the Vast Ocean Courtyard was a beauty to behold by itself!"

"I can't wait to try out their various offerings! I heard that there was a lot!"

"I want to go and see what the buzz about a red haired fairy was!"

Garry was a middle aged man who was a store owner in the town square. He had been hearing of this new restaurant since this morning.

"Is that restaurant really that good?" Gary wondered.

"Yes it is!" Jillian who was in the stall beside his store, excitedly said.

"Have you been there?" Gary was surprised that the usually hardworking and calm Jillian would sound this eager.

"Yesterday, I was one of its first customers! I highly recommend the Garden Ford Tavern! I'll be going there later. Would you want to come with me?" Jillian had now been turned into a patron of the restaurant since her visit. She will continue on to be a patron and would encourage people to go to the restaurant in the future.

...

In a fancy building within the eastern side of the Cirrus Cloud Town, there was a gathering of the Food Critic Society of the local nobles. All attendees were rich gentleman with a sophisticated look and had an air of nobility.

Currently, their weekly review of food establishments were taking place. It was either they would be assessing a new establishment or deliberate whether there were any improvements in establishments they have previously evaluated or not.

The elderly gentleman connoisseur who visited yesterday had also encouraged his fellow food-savants to go to Dylan's restaurant,

"Greeting, to my compatriots of the Food Critic Society, I would like to passionately recommend this place called Garden Ford Tavern..."

"Oh, I have heard of this place as I travelling earlier..."

"Yes, as I was buying my home's weekly supplies, I have heard the salesladies' in the town square about it!"

"We can always count on Elder Frank to spearhead evaluations!"

Elder Frank looked at his colleagues with self-satisfied expression. He held Garden Ford Tavern in high regard after all, "Let me enlighten you how exquisite this restaurant truly is!"

...

The youth from yesterday could be seen walking in an alley in Cirrus Cloud Town. He faced a group of thugs that were already gathered there. The thugs had noticed the youth's presence and turned around,

"Hey, its Darren!"

"Yow, boss!"

"What's our M.O for today?"

Darren said, "Well, we've already finished uniting the gangs here in Cirrus Cloud Town, so I was thinking that we should move on to the next village!"

"Hell Yeah!" The group cheered!

"But of course, we can't go to war without having some fuel to eat! So, let's go over to this new place I found! It's legit amazing!" He also gathered up his gang to visit Garden Ford Tavern.

...

Outside of Dylan's residence...

*Chatter*

It was still half an hour before noon yet there was already incessant chatter outside. Dylan looked over the window as he witnessed the long line of people that were outside the gate.

"Word of mouth really worked like a charm!" A smirk formed in Dylan's faces, seeing numerous customers lining up.

There were already over one hundred people that were lined up! He could see a few familiar faces like Jillian, Elder Frank, Darren, etc. but there was even more unfamiliar faces amongst the crowd like Gary, the sophisticated gentlemen from the Food Critic Society and Darren's gang. The line has already extended as far as the eye could see.

"It seems like I need to start early for today." Dylan stated as he went down and started preparing for the lunch rush.

"Scarlet!" Dylan called out his little sister as he made his way downstairs.

"Yes?" Scarlet answered.

"It's time to start preparing!"

"Sure!"

The two siblings quickly started to arrange the chairs and tables as Dylan started heating up the pans in the kitchen as well.

In just a few minutes, they sorted out everything and Dylan opened the gates as he welcomed the guests.

"Welcome to Garden Ford Tavern! Everyone may proceed inside to the Vast Ocean Courtyard so you can make yourselves at home!"

This new crowd was similarly dazzled by the aesthetic and design of the Vast Ocean Courtyard like yesterday's batch of customers. From the walkway to the tables, the ambience was immersive and holistic. They all could not believe what they were experiencing.

"This is amazing!" One of Darren's gang members said involuntarily.

"It really is as wondrous as the rumors say!" Another fine gentleman remarked as he adjusted his glasses.

"This place is simply gorgeous!" Garry could not believe his eyes as he witnessed such a sight.

Dylan had to bar the entry to the guests after the one hundredth guess passed. He carried an entire stack of wooden chairs that he quickly placed for the waiting area, "Unfortunately, our current serving capacity is only one hundred people. So, I would have to apologize to those who will have to wait outside. The waiting time may last an hour or so."

There was still fifty-sixty more guest who were waiting in line. He thought that this would discourage all of them to stay since they could just come back at a later time, but to his surprise, there were still twenty-something individuals that sat down.

'It seems they are really eager to try my food.' Dylan thought as he thanked everyone who still stayed.

He faced the customers and started taking orders one by one, "Who's ready to order?"

"I am!"

"Please take my order!"

"Sir Dylan, here first please!"

A wave of hands raised and hands holding white pieces of papers with their orders already written met Dylan's eyes.

"I will get to every single one of you, one person at a time!" Dylan assured all of them with a warm smile.

Moving between the rustic trestle tables with smooth, unhurried steps, Dylan seamlessly split his attention across the courtyard.

He accepted pre-filled paper slips from the eager Food Critic Society table, repeating their massive order of French Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb, Jamaican Jerk Spiced Duck Breast, and multiple Vastocean Harvest Boards with flawless precision, earning approving nods from the noble critics.

When he reached Darren and his rough-looking gang members, who were scratching their heads at the complex dish names, Dylan offered a warm, non-judgmental smile. "If you gents are looking for something robust and hearty to match a warrior's appetite, I highly recommend the Argentine Asado Beef Tomahawk paired with our house-brewed Vastocean Herbal Infused Ale. It is bold, filling, and packed with rich, fire-roasted flavor."

"That sounds awesome! Bring us five of those bad boys, young master!" Darren grinned, slamming his fist on the table in excitement.

Meanwhile, Jillian gently guided a still-dazed Gary through the menu, suggesting the Smoked Forest Mushroom Crostini to start while she eagerly ordered the Szechuan Spiced Duck Dan Dan Noodles for herself, eager to explore another section of the vast ocean of flavors.

Back in the kitchen, Dylan's movement became a blur of supernatural efficiency. Harnessing the heightened spatial awareness of his Spiritual Sense cultivated in the Cosmic God Space, he managed ten cooking stations simultaneously. Pans sizzled with searing venison, stone ovens baked honeyed fig tarts, and cauldrons of rich wild boar marinara bubbled gently.

Every ten minutes, Scarlet stepped out into the courtyard carrying trays of iced Botanical Elixirs and warm appetizers. Her entrance was met with breathless, adoration-filled hushes, followed by delighted whispers from the crowd.

"Look! It's the little red fairy!"

"Ah, she's even cuter in person!"

"She works so diligently... my heart can't take it!"

Scarlet's cheeks flushed as red as her hair, but with a proud little puff of her chest, she carefully delivered each wooden trencher to the tables, bowing politely just as her big brother taught her.

"Here's your orders." She said as she served the drinks to a table.
