Yukon Carbon returned to Cakago in the evening; the weather was hot.
When he returned to the bakery, Jasmine Yale had already finished dinner and was waiting for him in the courtyard. She had washed grapes and sliced apples for him.
"I specially went out to buy these fruits tonight. Try them," Jasmine Yale said with a smile.
"Okay." Yukon Carbon sat across from her, squinting his eyes, smiling as he took the grapes from her hand.
A cool breeze was blowing in the courtyard, fresh air mingling with the alluring night under the vine arbor, while Sweet Kitty remained motionless, eyes closed, resting.
Yukon Carbon loosened his tie, rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, and chatted idly with her while eating the grapes she had washed.
"Is the bank very busy?" Jasmine Yale asked, "I'll start my new job next Monday, and it'll be busy too."
