The sun was setting.
The puddles from last night's rain had dried completely, leaving no trace of rainfall, but the leaves by the roadside appeared more vibrant than before.
Butler Santana finished tidying up the house and helped Jasmine Yale knit little socks for her baby.
This little one was conveniently going to be born in winter, and she and Jasmine Yale had been preparing winter clothes for quite a while.
Socks and sweaters for the little one could indeed be purchased, but Butler Santana volunteered to knit some to spend time.
The bamboo basket already contained several pairs of baby socks in bright colors, looking quite beautiful.
Butler Santana was concentrating on knitting the socks.
Unexpectedly, Jasmine Yale woke up after a short nap.
"Butler Santana, I can't sleep anymore," she said, rubbing her sleepy eyes and emerging in slippers.
"Then let's not sleep, the weather is great today, shall we go out for a walk? I heard there's a sea lion show in the park."
