The venue felt stuffy.
Jasmine Yale felt hot all over, so she simply stood up and went out.
Will Caddel had already smoked a cigarette. He stood in the wind, his shadow elongated by the streetlight, standing alone.
As Jasmine approached, he was on the phone. It wasn't clear who he was speaking to, but it seemed like there was a disagreement. His expression wasn't good.
When he saw Jasmine, he hung up the phone and walked over.
"Why did you come out?"
Jasmine smiled a little: "It's a bit hot inside, I came out for some air."
"This place is quite large, don't get lost. If anything comes up, remember to call me." Will looked at Jasmine under the shadows of the sycamore trees.
The shadow of leaves was cast on her face, subtly covering her eyes, giving her gentle features a hazy and dreamy feel under the trees, making Will feel somewhat dazed.
He rubbed his temples and withdrew his gaze: "I've had a bit too much to drink."
"CEO Caddel, should we head back? It's getting late."
