[Minotaur Dungeon]
Of course when describe as hidden in plain sight, it was supposed to be harder to find. Unfortunately time has passed so much since Shun succefully conquered the dungeon that many adventurers had already memorized its location until they get sick of it.
So once they got to the door of the boss room, it was practically packed with adventurers who were strong enough to reach this far and avoid getting caught and eliminated by the enemy.
However even though many adventurers had already gathered at the entrance, there are many of them are hesitating to go inside the boss room. What's more this place had casually changed a lot ever since this area got populated.
One particular change was the projection that was being projected in the middle of the camp. Apparently this was a type of surveillance spell that was casted by some high ranking mage adventurer in order to examine the boss inside the room.
Thanks to this method, they were able to confirm that the minotaur is indeed inside the room. The only person who seemed surprised by this minotaur was Shun himself.
After all based on his memory the minotaur he once fought in this dungeon is a 7 foot tall monster with a gold tone skin and hardened muscle fiber. Due to this it was practically a tank in itself. However the minotaur he saw on the projection was completely different.
Scaling to atleast 11 feet tall, body mass double in size than what he remembers, dark blue tone skin, and actually equipped with atleast 4 types of weapon. An axe, two greatswords, shield, and a bow.
This wad like a custom made boss character made into an elder ring boss.
Not long after Alex approached Shun and the rest as he relays the information he received after talking to other leaders of the adventurers group.
"So what did you find out?" Asked by Misha
"Well apparently the reason why almost no one volunteers to go inside the room was because 3 teams had already attempted to enter the boss room, only to get killed under 3 minutes upon challenging the boss. Thanks to the projection, they all saw how the boss fought and they are literally shocked and flabbergasted to see a boss monster actually moving like a veteran warrior in the same level as top experts"
"Level of top experts?" Asked by Shun
"Yes! When wielding an axe, heoves like a veteran barbarian sultan. When wielding a double greatsword, he moves like a war god berserker. When wielding a shield, he moves like an immovable wall. When he wields a bow, he moves like a master bowman... basically the majority of them concludes that the boss can only be defeated by a highly adaptable adventurer. That is the reason why they are here, they are reviewing the boss moves"
"That sounds dangerous" said by Sephiria
"Sounds dangerous? It's practically impossible at this point, if it weren't for the fact that people get teleported outside the dungeon once they die inside, this dungeon alone would have claimed a lot of lives already" said by Misha
"Sorry about that but it's not like I'm underestimating the dungeon, it's just that I've seen people who are beyond reasons already so this is nothing new to me" said by Sephiria
"Oh"
As Misha and Sephiria talks to each other, Alex then turned to face Shun.
"So what do we do now brother Shun? Shall we attempt the dungeon?"
Hearing his words Shun then replied.
"Yeah! We really need the drop from that boss, so we have no choice. If we don't face it now, we will have to face it eventually"
"I see... what do I say if the other opposes your decision?"
"Just tell them we are willing to be the bait in order to fully examine the boss monster pattern more. They understand the pros and cons in this raid, so tell them that"
"Ok"
After Shun said those words, Alex then heads straight to the other leaders of the dungeon and told them their intentions. Naturally many opposed their decision and regards it as reckless and opportunistic. However the latter comment was disregarded since everyone knew how dangerous this dungeon boss is. As for the person who commented this, the other leaders just looked at him in disdain.
In the end when Alex told them that they are willing to get more data out of the boss monster, the other leaders soon agreed. With that Shun and his group gained permission to attempt the boss itself.
With that success, Alex then relayed the decision back to Shun, giving them the chance to actually have a go at it first.
The moment the stood infront of the boss room, the other adventurers gave them an encouraging words and cheers while others judge them for their action. As for the other leaders, they simply gave them little advice without revealing too much details. After all they don't want this small group of adventurers to accidentally defeat the boss itself.
After all said and done, they were finally able to enter the room after the door was opened. Once they are inside, they were then projected in the video surveillance in the middle of the camp where everyone begun to spectate the boss attempt.
As for Shun and his group, the moment they entered the room, the whole atmosphere suddenly shifted, as everyone's eyes suddenly turned to look at the Minotaur at the other end of the room itself.
To be given exact state of the area, the room itself is about 130 meters long in circumference. It is practically the size of a football field.
Once they assessedthe distance between each other, Shun then gave out orders while keeping an eye on the Minotaur.
"Me and Alex will take the vanguard, Sephiria and Misha will support us from behind. Is that clear?"
"Yes"
"Alright"
"Understo-"
But before Sephiria could finish her words, the Minotaur suddenly disappeared infront of them and blinked at their right in a position where he was about to swing his axe at them.
From there a huge explosion rung out, causing everyone who spectate fromthe video to suddenly shot up from their feet in surprise on just how fast the enemy had attacked them. Even the other leaders were shocked and never expected this development.
In the end the group was eliminated or so they thought.
Once the smoke clears Shun's group was nowhere to be seen, as Shun and Alex managed to dodge the attack while carrying Sephiria and Misha in their arms.
Because of the difficulty of the boss, Alex had quickly transformed into his half dragon form to adapt towards the boss attack.
After putting down Sephiria and Misha down, both Shun and Alex tacitly came into understanding that they have to attack the boss immediately in order to prevent it from ever doing the same stunt again.
Without much words Shun ran up towards from below, while Alex flew up from above and attack from that angle.
Seeing this retaliation, the Minotaur roared at them, as he picked up its axe and charged towards them like a madman.
