Chapter 11 - Harry and ginny 3

🍎🍮📖Summer at the Burrow – A Late Night Visitor

That night at The Burrow, the house was quiet again. The clock ticked softly in the kitchen while moonlight shone through the crooked window.

Everyone else had gone to bed.

But downstairs, the kitchen light was still on.

At the wooden table stood Harry Potter, wearing the apron Molly had given him earlier in the summer.

Bowls and ingredients were spread across the counter as he worked on another recipe.

His notebook lay open beside him.

Harry Potter's Magical Recipe Book – Volume 2

The newest entry read:

#16 Caramel Apple Crisp – Perfected

Below it was a blank line.

Harry stirred a pot of melted chocolate while thinking about Recipe #17.

Just then—

The stairs creaked.

Harry looked up.

Slowly walking into the kitchen was Arthur Weasley, wearing his robe and slippers.

Arthur blinked at the table covered with ingredients.

"Harry?"

Harry smiled a little sheepishly.

"Sorry, Mr. Weasley. Did I wake you?"

Arthur chuckled softly.

"No, no. I just came down for a glass of water."

He looked around the kitchen.

"What are you making tonight?"

Harry lifted the bowl.

"Chocolate caramel tart."

Arthur's eyes lit up with curiosity.

"A tart?"

Harry nodded.

"I'm testing a new recipe."

Arthur leaned closer to the table.

"You know," he said thoughtfully, "Molly told me you've been filling this house with amazing desserts all summer."

Harry laughed.

"I've been practicing."

Arthur watched as Harry poured the chocolate caramel filling into a baked crust.

"That smells wonderful."

After a few minutes the tart was ready to cool.

Harry cut a small slice.

"Want to try it?"

Arthur smiled warmly.

"I'd be honored."

He took a bite.

For a moment he said nothing.

Then he nodded slowly.

"Harry… this is excellent."

Harry grinned.

"Good?"

Arthur chuckled.

"Very good."

Harry wrote in his notebook:

Volume 2 – Recipe #17: Chocolate Caramel Tart – Perfected

Arthur set the plate down and smiled at him.

"You know, Harry…"

Harry looked up.

"Yes?"

Arthur folded his arms kindly.

"I think the wizarding world might know you for more than just defeating dark wizards one day."

Harry laughed.

"Maybe."

Arthur nodded toward the notebook.

"You might become the most famous baker in the magical world."

Harry smiled and closed the notebook.

But before heading upstairs to sleep…

He glanced at the next empty line.

Because Recipe #18 was already forming in his mind. 🍫🥧📖Summer at the Burrow – Recipe #18

The house was still quiet at The Burrow.

After tasting the chocolate caramel tart, Arthur Weasley stayed in the kitchen a little longer, watching Harry Potter clean the mixing bowls.

Arthur chuckled softly.

"You know, Harry, when I came downstairs I expected to see someone sneaking a midnight snack."

Harry laughed.

"Instead you found a whole bakery."

Arthur looked at the notebook on the table.

"May I see your recipe book?"

Harry handed it to him.

Arthur adjusted his glasses and flipped through the pages.

"So many recipes…"

He smiled as he read the newest ones.

#16 Caramel Apple Crisp

#17 Chocolate Caramel Tart

Arthur looked impressed.

"Molly is going to love these."

Harry rubbed the back of his neck.

"I'm still experimenting."

Arthur closed the notebook and handed it back.

"Well, I'm glad you feel at home here."

Harry smiled quietly.

"Thank you, Mr. Weasley."

Arthur poured himself a glass of water but paused when he noticed Harry pulling out more ingredients.

Arthur raised an eyebrow.

"You're not finished tonight, are you?"

Harry grinned.

"I had another idea."

Arthur laughed.

"I suspected as much."

Harry placed strawberries, cream, flour, sugar, and butter on the counter.

"I want to try making strawberry shortcake."

Arthur leaned against the table to watch.

Harry mixed the dough for soft biscuits and baked them until golden.

Then he sliced fresh strawberries and whipped sweet cream.

Finally he layered everything together.

Biscuits.

Strawberries.

Cream.

Harry cut a small piece.

He tasted it.

He smiled immediately.

"That worked."

Arthur took a bite as well.

His eyes widened slightly.

"Harry… that's fantastic."

Harry laughed and wrote in his notebook.

Volume 2 – Recipe #18: Strawberry Shortcake – Perfected

Arthur finished the last bite and shook his head in amazement.

"You're going to make Molly very proud."

Harry closed the notebook with a smile.

But when he looked down at the next blank line…

He already had an idea for Recipe #19.

And summer at the Burrow was far from over. 🍓🍰📖Summer at the Burrow – Breakfast Surprise

The next morning sunlight poured through the windows of The Burrow. The kitchen slowly filled with the sounds of people waking up and coming downstairs.

Molly Weasley walked into the kitchen first.

She stopped immediately.

On the table were several plates neatly arranged with strawberry shortcake.

Fresh strawberries, fluffy biscuits, and whipped cream were stacked perfectly.

Molly blinked.

"Oh my…"

Just then Ron Weasley came down the stairs, yawning.

"Morning, Mum."

He looked at the table.

Then he froze.

"Is that… strawberry shortcake?"

Behind him Ginny Weasley walked in.

She smiled when she saw the plates.

"Harry was baking again last night, wasn't he?"

Right on cue, Harry Potter walked into the kitchen carrying a bowl of fresh whipped cream.

He looked a little tired but happy.

"Morning."

Ron immediately grabbed a plate.

"You're the best person alive."

Harry laughed.

"Try it first."

Ron took a big bite.

He froze for a moment.

Then pointed his fork at Harry.

"Mate… this is incredible."

Ginny tried hers next.

She smiled warmly.

"It's really good."

Then Arthur Weasley walked in.

He looked at the table and chuckled.

"I see Harry finished his recipe."

Molly looked at Harry with a proud smile.

"Did you make all of this?"

Harry nodded.

"Yes, Mrs. Weasley."

She tasted a bite.

Her eyes lit up.

"Harry, this is wonderful."

Ron had already finished his plate and reached for another.

Ginny laughed.

"You're going to eat the whole tray."

Ron shrugged.

"Worth it."

Harry opened his notebook at the table.

He wrote neatly:

Volume 2 – Recipe #18: Strawberry Shortcake – Family Approved

Arthur smiled when he saw that.

"You're going to fill several books at this rate."

Harry looked down at the next blank line.

Because he already had an idea for Recipe #19.

And everyone at the Burrow was very happy to keep taste-testing. 🍓🍰📖Summer at the Burrow – Recipe #19

Later that afternoon at The Burrow, the kitchen was lively again.

The strawberry shortcake from breakfast had been completely eaten—mostly by Ron Weasley, who was now sitting at the table looking very satisfied.

Across from him, Harry Potter opened his notebook again.

Harry Potter's Magical Recipe Book – Volume 2

The newest entry read:

#18 Strawberry Shortcake – Family Approved

Below it was another blank line.

Harry tapped it thoughtfully.

"Recipe nineteen."

Leaning on the counter, Ginny Weasley smiled.

"You're not slowing down at all, are you?"

Harry laughed.

"Not really."

Ron leaned forward immediately.

"What's this one?"

Harry stood up and went to the pantry.

He pulled out cocoa powder, flour, butter, sugar, and marshmallows.

Ron squinted.

"What are those for?"

Harry grinned.

"I'm going to make chocolate marshmallow brownies."

Ron's eyes lit up.

"Mate… that sounds brilliant."

Harry mixed the chocolate brownie batter and poured it into a baking pan.

Just before it finished baking, he covered the top with marshmallows and put it back in the oven for a few minutes.

Soon the marshmallows melted into a golden layer on top.

The kitchen filled with the smell of warm chocolate.

Harry cut a square and tasted it.

He smiled.

"That worked."

Ginny took a piece.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Okay… this one might be your best brownie yet."

Ron grabbed two pieces immediately.

He took a bite and pointed at Harry.

"Mate… you're a genius."

Harry laughed and wrote in his notebook:

Volume 2 – Recipe #19: Chocolate Marshmallow Brownies – Perfected

Ron was already reaching for another piece.

From the doorway, Molly Weasley watched the scene with a warm smile.

"You know, Harry," she said kindly, "you've turned my kitchen into the happiest place in the house."

Harry smiled.

But when he looked down at the notebook again…

There was still room for Recipe #20.

And he already had another idea. 🍫🔥📖A Conversation at the Burrow

That evening at The Burrow, the kitchen was warm and lively.

Dinner had just finished, and everyone was sitting around the table.

Harry Potter was helping clear the dishes while Ginny Weasley dried them beside him.

Across the table sat Arthur Weasley and Molly Weasley.

Molly smiled warmly.

"Harry dear, dinner was wonderful. And that caramel apple crisp you made earlier was delicious."

Harry smiled shyly.

"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley."

Ginny nudged him playfully.

"You're turning Mum's kitchen into a bakery."

Arthur chuckled.

"Well, I must say the desserts have been excellent."

Just then Ron walked in and grabbed another leftover dessert from the counter.

Ron Weasley pointed at Harry.

"I keep telling everyone he's going to open a bakery someday."

Ginny laughed.

"I'd help run it."

Ron smirked.

"Well you'd have to. You're his girlfriend."

The room suddenly went quiet.

Harry froze.

Ginny blinked.

Arthur slowly looked up from his tea.

Molly's eyes widened slightly.

"His… girlfriend?"

Ron suddenly realized what he had just said.

"Oh… uh…"

Ginny sighed.

"Nice one, Ron."

Harry rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"Well… we were going to tell you."

Arthur looked between them.

"You mean you two are… together?"

Ginny nodded.

"Yes."

For a moment Molly said nothing.

Then she smiled warmly.

"Well, that explains quite a lot."

Harry looked surprised.

"It does?"

Molly nodded.

"You two have been smiling at each other all summer."

Arthur chuckled.

"I noticed it too."

Harry relaxed a little.

"You're not upset?"

Arthur shook his head.

"Not at all."

Molly smiled kindly at Harry.

"Harry dear, you're practically part of the family already."

Ginny squeezed Harry's hand under the table.

Ron grinned.

"Well… at least now I don't have to keep the secret."

Ginny rolled her eyes.

"You didn't keep it very well."

Everyone laughed.

And for Harry, sitting there at the kitchen table with the Weasleys, it felt exactly like what it was meant to be.

Family. ❤️How It All Started

That evening the kitchen of The Burrow was quiet again after the surprise announcement.

Everyone was still sitting around the table.

Molly Weasley folded her hands and looked at Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley with a curious smile.

"Well," Molly said gently, "now that we know… I think we deserve to hear the story."

Across the table Arthur Weasley nodded.

"Yes, how did it begin?"

Ginny looked at Harry and laughed softly.

"You want to tell it?"

Harry rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well… it started at Hogwarts."

From the doorway Ron Weasley leaned against the frame listening.

Harry continued.

"One evening I was in the kitchens working on a new dessert recipe."

Ginny smirked.

"Of course you were."

Harry laughed.

"I was trying to make chocolate lava cake."

Arthur looked interested.

"Ah yes, the one with the melted chocolate center."

Harry nodded.

"Exactly."

He looked at Ginny.

"She came down to see what I was doing."

Ginny smiled at the memory.

"I smelled chocolate halfway down the corridor."

Ron laughed.

"That checks out."

Harry continued.

"We started talking while the cake baked."

Ginny leaned her elbows on the table.

"We ended up sitting there for hours."

Arthur smiled.

"Talking?"

Harry nodded.

"About everything."

Ginny looked at Harry with a soft smile.

"School, Quidditch, his recipes, my plans after Hogwarts…"

Ron interrupted.

"And desserts."

Ginny pointed at him.

"Yes, desserts."

Harry continued.

"When the lava cake was ready we shared the first slice."

Molly smiled warmly.

"That sounds lovely."

Harry nodded.

"That's when I realized something."

Ginny raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

Harry smiled.

"I liked spending time with you more than anything else."

Ginny laughed softly.

"You're such a dork."

Ron groaned.

"Oh Merlin, this is getting sappy."

Arthur chuckled.

"And when did you become an official couple?"

Ginny answered that one.

"A few days later."

Harry nodded.

"I asked if she wanted to go on a walk by the lake."

Molly smiled brightly.

"And?"

Ginny shrugged casually.

"I said yes."

Harry squeezed her hand.

"And we've been together ever since."

Arthur nodded approvingly.

"Well, that sounds like a very good beginning."

Ron crossed his arms.

"Yeah yeah… but the real question is…"

Everyone looked at him.

Ron pointed at Harry.

"Did he bring dessert on the date?"

Ginny laughed.

"Of course he did."

Harry grinned.

"It was chocolate cake."

Ron nodded proudly.

"Good man."

The whole table laughed as the evening at the Burrow continued with stories, dessert, and family. 🍰❤️Summer at the Burrow – Recipe #20

That evening at The Burrow, the kitchen was still busy.

The tray of chocolate marshmallow brownies was already half gone thanks to Ron Weasley, who sat happily at the table eating another square.

Across from him, Harry Potter opened his notebook again.

Harry Potter's Magical Recipe Book – Volume 2

The newest entry read:

#19 Chocolate Marshmallow Brownies – Perfected

Below it was another blank line.

Harry tapped the page.

"Recipe twenty."

Ron leaned forward instantly.

"Please tell me it has chocolate."

Leaning on the counter, Ginny Weasley laughed.

"He makes plenty of chocolate desserts already."

Harry smiled.

"This one's different."

He went to the pantry and brought back butter, sugar, cream, vanilla, and rice cereal.

Ron blinked.

"What are those for?"

Harry grinned.

"Caramel crispy bars."

Ron sat up straight.

"That sounds amazing."

Harry melted butter and caramel together in a pot, stirring slowly.

Then he mixed the caramel with the cereal until it coated every piece.

He pressed the mixture into a pan and let it cool.

Soon he cut the bars into neat squares.

"Moment of truth."

Harry tasted one.

He smiled.

"That worked perfectly."

Ginny tried one and nodded.

"They're sweet and crunchy."

Ron grabbed two pieces immediately.

He took a big bite and pointed at Harry.

"Mate… these are brilliant."

Harry laughed and wrote in his notebook:

Ron leaned back in his chair happily.

"You know what this means."

Harry looked up.

"What?"

Ron grinned.

"You've officially filled twenty recipes in Volume 2."

Ginny smiled.

"You're going to need a third cookbook soon."

Harry closed the notebook with a satisfied smile.

But after a moment…

He opened it again.

Because he still had an idea for Recipe #21. 🍯📖🍪Summer at the Burrow – Recipe #21

Most of the Weasley family had gone to bed, but the kitchen light was still glowing softly.

At the wooden table sat Harry Potter, flipping through his notebook.

Just then the kitchen door creaked open.

Ginny Weasley stepped inside.

She leaned against the counter and smiled.

"You're still baking?"

Harry laughed quietly.

"I had another idea."

Ginny walked over to the table.

"What kind of dessert this time?"

Harry pulled out flour, sugar, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla.

"I'm making cinnamon sugar donut holes."

Ginny grinned.

"That sounds amazing."

Harry mixed the dough carefully and rolled it into small balls.

He fried them lightly until they turned golden brown.

Then he rolled them in cinnamon sugar.

The warm smell filled the kitchen.

Harry took one and tasted it.

He smiled immediately.

"That worked."

Ginny grabbed one.

She took a bite and laughed.

"These are incredible."

Just then footsteps came down the stairs.

Ron Weasley walked into the kitchen half asleep.

He blinked at the plate of donut holes.

"Are those new?"

Harry nodded.

Ron grabbed three.

He took a bite.

Then looked at Harry.

"Mate… you're unstoppable."

Harry laughed and wrote in his notebook:

"I think Volume 2 is finished."

Ron blinked.

"You filled the whole thing?"

Leaning against the counter, Ginny Weasley laughed.

"I told you he would."

Harry reached into his bag and pulled out a brand new notebook.

He placed it on the table.

Across the cover he carefully wrote:

Ron's eyes widened.

"Already starting another one?"

Harry grinned.

"Of course."

Just then Molly Weasley walked into the kitchen.

She saw the new notebook and smiled warmly.

"Harry dear, are you starting another recipe book already?"

Harry nodded.

"I've got plenty more ideas."

Ron rubbed his hands together.

"Best summer ever."

Harry opened the new notebook.

The first page was blank.

He tapped it with his quill.

"Recipe number one for Volume 3."

He pulled out flour, sugar, butter, cocoa powder, and cherries.

Ginny raised an eyebrow.

"Cherries?"

Harry smiled.

"Chocolate cherry cake."

Ron immediately sat up straighter.

"That sounds brilliant."

Harry mixed the batter carefully and folded in sweet cherries.

Soon the cake baked in the oven.

But something was different that year.

Very different.

On the first evening feast, the students sat at the long house tables waiting for dessert.

At the Gryffindor table sat Harry Potter, beside Ginny Weasley and Ron Weasley.

Ron leaned toward Harry.

"Do they know about the recipes you made this summer?"

Harry grinned.

"They do now."

Just then the plates on the tables magically filled with dessert.

Students looked down in surprise.

There were caramel apple crisps, lemon bars, chocolate mousse cups, and strawberry shortcake.

Ron burst out laughing.

"You actually did it!"

Ginny smiled proudly.

"You taught the house-elves the recipes."

Harry nodded.

"I spent the afternoon in the kitchens showing them."

All around the Great Hall students began talking excitedly.

"Where did these desserts come from?"

"This chocolate mousse is amazing!"

At the staff table Albus Dumbledore took a spoonful of mousse and smiled.

He turned to Minerva McGonagall.

"It appears Mr. Potter has brought his summer experiments to Hogwarts."

McGonagall allowed a small approving smile.

"So it would seem."

Back at the Gryffindor table Ron was already eating a second dessert.

"Mate," he said with his mouth full, "this might be the greatest school year ever."

Ginny laughed.

"You're only excited about the food."

Ron shrugged.

"That's a very good reason."

Harry smiled as students around the hall happily enjoyed the desserts he had perfected during the summer.
