The Blizzard Lodge incident finally came to a close. Early the next morning, Fang Zheng handed the recorded video tape, evidence, along with the culprits to the police who came, marking an end to the murder case.
By the way, the chocolate placed beside the corpse was actually left by a dog raised at the lodge. The dog used to be a search and rescue dog, trained in search and rescue operations. It knew to provide high-calorie food to victims, hence it left the chocolate. One of the search and rescue dogs encountered the murdered photographer and mistook him for a victim, so it bit a piece of chocolate from the kitchen and brought it over… Well, that's all there is to it. It has nothing to do with the murder case.
Afterwards, everyone lived peacefully for a few more days, until one summer day, Fang Zheng received a call from Conan.
"What's up? Great Detective? Back from the dead?"
"Stop talking about that..."
