Summer Ford was unusually quiet tonight, quieter than ever before, so quiet that he couldn't even hear the sound of her picking things up.
Ethan Laurent stood at the door for quite a while, took a few steps over, and was still hesitating about whether to push open the bathroom door when she suddenly pulled it open herself and walked out.
The moment the door opened and she saw him, she seemed to freeze for a second.
"What is it?"
"Nothing, just wanted to go in and join you." Ethan answered her casually.
"I'm already done showering."
"You can still stay and keep me company even if you're done." Ethan arched his brows.
"No, wash by yourself!" Summer refused flatly, tugged him back into the room, then walked off on her own.
Out of the corner of his eye, Ethan glanced in her direction, quietly observing what she was doing.
After coming out, Summer dried her hair with a towel; while rubbing it, she picked up a jewelry magazine and flipped through it.
