Chapter 16 - The Monarch of Hope

"I say it again I love democracy"

Daniel is of course smiling to the results of his actions, the pure chaos in the streets, the yeels of disgust and betrayal that are roaming seeking for justice, well he will give them what they want, justice, but his own justice.

the plan went very well as expected, it took him just one year to turn a man full with righteousness into what the modern society will call a waste of space a total scumbag that gambles with the people's money, kill whoever he sees on his sight if they didn't please his eyes, looking drunk all day long and of course turning into a drug addict, do not mention how "he betrayed his best friend expectations for him", the kindest soul in the village, the one that made their lives much bette, who is their sun in the darkest times, who gave and still giving them hope, their savior Yoshiro-sama.

The kage's fate was settled to be miserable from the very first, same thing with the council, their fate was meant to be a step stone to his goals, he will be soon the one ruler of this village after establishing a dictatory, a working dictatory, unlike what Italy, Germany, Japan, China, Egypt, Vietnam or North Korea was established, what they did wrong that they forced their fist around the necks of the people, what they needed to do is to make the people want their fist around their nicks and they needed to make that a permanent desire, lighter dictatorship such as democratic countries is off the question, why he needed to let for the people a way out of his fist? So of course he won't go for that route, but then a question is being asked : why he is doing all of this? well he can't always goes around and mass-brainwash everyone right at first in worlds such as Emperor's Domination, unless he wanted someone like Li Qiye after his ass, especially when he doesn't have the necessary power to resist, he would be sending his other selfs around the omniverse at the same time at some point so to provoke such scenario, he will establish the basis knowledge and experience of sovereignty and rulership even tho one his other selfs may been sent to a world based on such things, it will make things easier for him and he won't take that much time to adapt to the situation he is being throughout, so it's a win-win situation for him nonetheless.

Back to the chaos he was witnessing outside his window, well he didn't wait much before the Kage was being literally on the doors of execution, most of the Ninja including the anbus are disappointed in such unqualified leader, such a piece of unwanted garbage in this time of war is something they don't want to serve under, so a lot of them actually made the first step towards him, Yoshiro Higashikata, a man with a kind spirit, an excellent leader and most important of all a good Boss. Seems that the walking dead man, the previous Kage was molesting his underlings and even sexually exploiting minors at the local academy sometimes, Another reason for the people to hate him even more. it didn't take that much time for him to get executed, the way they did that made Daniel remember the middle ages in Europe, after stating his crimes he had his head down with one strike from a katana hold by the anbu that was given the mission to do so, they didn't even give the young previous kage the choice of doing Seppuku, right after that the crowd cheered and celebrated with the joy of escaping a corrupted ruler.

One month later Yoshiro was been coronated, and given a speech that he of course took most of it from it if not all of it from William Faulkner that he of course edited for this specific situation, after getting up from his new founded throne he started speaking to his people :

"I decline to accept the end of man. It is easy enough to say that man is immortal because he will endure: that when the last ding-dong of doom has clanged and faded from the last worthless rock hanging tideless in the last red and dying evening, that even then there will still be one more sound: that of his puny inexhaustible voice, still talking. I refuse to accept this. I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance. The leader duty is to is to lead for these things. It is his privilege to help man endure by lifting his heart, by reminding him of the courage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and sacrifice which have been the glory of his past and herald him of the future. The leader's voice need not merely be the records of history, it can be one of the props, the pillars that establish the hope in getting a better life, to seek the light in the darkest situations, to live another day to see a better tomorrow"

As expected from one of the most influential speeches of all time, the reaction of the crowd was as expected to be, full cheers of celebration with the new reign of a new King, the celebration of the foundations of Kobo no Kuni (Land of Hope), Eien no Ōkoku (The Eternal Kingdom), an absolute monarchy that works.
