The scenery from all directions suddenly collapsed, the moment of collapse resembling a multi-colored glass building shaking and tumbling down in an earthquake, brilliant and spectacular, magnificent and eerie.
This process completed within two seconds. When the last trace of metallic silver light quickly faded from view, what I saw was a vast outer space different from before. I still remembered being near a gray-green planet, surrounded by a large expanse of battlefield wreckage, and a group of native spaceships cautiously gathering. But now everything was gone: the gray-green planet, native spaceships, wreckage, space city, constant star, distant nebula… everything seemed like a dream. In reality, it was boundless space, empty and void. The nearest starlight seemed light years away, and although the stars were still splendid, they were no longer recognizable to me.
