Three months later…
Nina sat on a bench, reading a book she had borrowed from the library. She lifted her head when a maple leaf landed on her lap.
It was autumn in England. Soon it would snow all over the place.
Yes. The enrollment went smoothly, with her parents handling her assessments. They completed her tuition and paid it for the entire year.
So far, she has started to get used to her new life here in England. She makes new friends but keeps her distance. She still misses her friends back in China, especially Korin.
And speaking of Korin, she received a letter from her yesterday. According to Korin, Lilian is getting married. Hearing the news lifted a weight from her chest. Finally, Lilian can stop bothering her about those men asking for her hand in marriage.
Lilian hated her because one of them was her boyfriend, even though she was dating another.
