"It does not matter. Anything Earth can do about Mars will take a long time for them to even prepare. It's not like we are on the same planet. If they want to do anything about us, first they have to be near us and that would take them quite some time. Besides every time they try to do something or send something we will try to find a way to destroy their vessel or foil their missions. So that they are forced to think that a trip to Mars is not worth it at all." Shiro shrugged at Minerva's comment. For him it was far more important to secure the present and the near future. He was not willing to think about the future that was still quite far ahead.
"As for whether or not I will regret it. we will see it in the future." Rather than doing nothing and staying in this space Shiro prefers doing something that would give him more freedom. "Now then let's go." As he was done drinking the juice Shiro got up from his chair and went toward the door.
"Sure." Minerva followed behind Shiro and Arturia and Rin both sat on each of Shiro's Shoulders.
Shiro walked out of his room. He went toward the elevator and rode it down to the level he was in yesterday. The room was as empty as it was yesterday. "So this fake gravity works even here!!" Seeing that the fake gravity that was created through the interaction between his clothes and the ship's floor working even on this level Shiro became amazed. He thought it was only a feature that was exclusive to the level his family was supposed to be in.
"Affirmative. This system works all across the ship. But for faster movement it is people preferred to move in zero gravity. Besides not everyone had this type of clothes only the crew members had them." After one learned to move properly in the zero gravity, disabling the fake gravity function becomes the much faster method to move from point A to point B. And moving in zero gravity this way also required less effort. For this many people in the crew of Aurora preferred to not use the fake gravity system when they were moving in the ship.
"I see. Then Minerva please lead the way." Shiro nodded his head listening to Minerva and went out of the room into the ship's hallway. He asked Minerva to lead the way as he does not know where to go yet.
"Affirmative." Minerva took the lead and walked to the left side of the hallway right passed the room Shiro and his parents were in and came to stop in front of a big door. "It is here." Minerva told Shiro as she stopped in front of the door.
As it was really not that far Shiro decided to walk rather than disabling the fake gravity system built in his clothes. He followed behind Minerva and stopped in front of the door. This time no one had to tell him what to do. He put his palm on the display and the door opened after the green light lit up.
"Welcome to the main bridge of Aurora Shiro." What Shiro entered after the door opened was the main bridge of the Aurora.
Aurora's main bridge in it's default configuration was surrounded by transparent glass windows through which you could see the space outside. The captain's seat was positioned at the farthest back on a higher position than the rest of the seats. This area was shaped like an arrow head. Beside the captain's seat two other seats were there one on each side of the captain's seat. This is where Shiro's parents used to seat. Further ahead there were two console at the both side of the arrowhead where each side curved. One console was for the navigator and the other one was for the pilot. This is where Kazuto and Kiyomi used to sit. This whole area was surrounded by a different colored strip of metal separating it from the others. Further ahead on the each side there were four consoles two on either side. These four console's operators responsibilities were to communicate with the different departments and relay the information. The middle section on the front most part was completely empty. There was only a stand for holding on to and a holographic projector. The floor of the bridge had single light strips running on it separating different areas of the bridge.
As soon as Shiro entered the main bridge the lights on the bridge automatically came on. "So this is the main bridge." Shiro looked around feeling quite amazed at the scene before him. "It really makes you believe that you are in a spaceship." Shiro kept looking around and slowly walked toward the captain's seat. He came in front of the seat looked at it for a while and then turned around and sat on it. "Now I feel like I am the captain of this ship." Shiro said a bit childishly.
