Ji Anning couldn't help but chuckle, "Slow down when you eat, there's a pit, don't choke on it."
She reminded him as she bent over to pick up the fruit platter and then said to Qi Helian, "He's so stingy, I don't know what's up with him. You eat a pear."
In the end...I guess she still gave in to him.
"It's fine, the pear looks very sweet," Qi Helian smiled slightly at Ji Anning and reached towards the fruit platter unhurriedly, picking up a slice of pear.
His fair and slender fingers made the pear slice he picked up look exceptionally translucent and juicy.
He brought it to his mouth and took an elegant bite.
Then he nodded, "It's very sweet. Where did you buy it?"
Ji Anning replied, "I went to the supermarket this morning and bought it from one of those fruit carts at the intersection. They're really fresh, and I also got the dates there. They're a buck cheaper per pound than at the supermarket or fruit stands."
