Cultivators generally don't need to use specific Magic Treasures to cast Spells.
For instance, when Jing Yan uses the Seven Luminaries Technique, he can use the Ice Flame Sword, but he doesn't need to. Of course, using a Magic Treasure with strong Power, can significantly enhance the Attack Power of a Spell.
Some particularly special Spells, if paired with a Magic Treasure that aligns with the Spell, can unleash more Power than merely the sum of their parts. The Ice Flame Sword doesn't quite align with the Seven Luminaries Technique but can still substantially boost Jing Yan's Attack Power.
When Jing Yan unleashes the Seven Luminaries Technique, the space around the seven light rings distorts intensely. If you look closely, you can even see the space barrier curling up from the immense heat.
