Chapter 8 - Parallel (01)

Georgia had just sipped another batch of wine, her family stared at her eerily. "What? Why are you looking at me like that? It's MY Birthday party!" She harumphed, which kicked everyone back into gear as they laughed. This caused her to smile, even.

"As I was saying... I don't know where I'd be without this wonderful girl. Georgia, I love you dearly, we all do of course; but, I must say I'd be lost without you." Her father, Jeffrey, toasted him gingerly before pecking her cheek. She smiled happily, accepting the love of her endearing father.

Her father hadn't always been this awesome. According to her favorite uncle, Robert (Robbie if you got to know him), he used to be extremely jealous of nearly everyone. Uncle Robbie even said that at one point, her father tried to steal Uncle Robbie's girlfriend! This was always quite a shock to Georgia, but upon learning that Uncle Robbie's girlfriend was Nikki, her mother, her jaw nearly hit the floor for years! According to Uncle Robbie, everything worked out, but she still couldn't believe the gall of her own father (not that she disapproved, it was her mother after all).

Today was Georgia's ninteenth birthday, and specifically, this was her party. She invited a few of her friends, like Melik and Sabri (her best male friends. NOT boyfriends, as her mom LOVED to tease every single day). They gingerly toasted and drank some wine as well, enamored by their friend's gall to do such a thing. But after figuring, "hey, it's a party!", they downed it anyway.

Eventually, her Uncle Robbie came over and greeted her, "Nice party, starchild!"Starchild was always his nickname for her, she was pretty sure it meant "favorite kid".

"Thanks, Robster" And so she retorted in the same way. "Hey, I've got a gift for ya. Two, for now!" And he gave her some powder that she had to read the label on a few times, as well as the Platinum White-Gold ring she had been eyeing for YEARS! "Oh my god! Thank you!" The powder, after she recognized it, was some of her favorite lemonade concoction. It worked in quite literally everything, and when put with some... Wine? It was fan-tucking-fastic!

Carelessly excited and happy, she tossed the powder into her drink, hugged Uncle Robbie, and downed it...

At first, things were fine. She continued dancing and making jokes with her friends, until Sabri noticed something. "Hey... Are you okay?" "Yeah, why?" She asked in-response."You're... Turning Yellow." His tone was nervous and staggered, as he was clearly afraid to mention it."What?" Georgia calmly asked, and everything went black. Her eyes seemed to roll into the back of her head as she became blind quickly, sounds being muffled and some were downright deafened. Her body felt heavy, like lead, yet every blade of grass that touched her felt as rough as sandpaper."Quick! Get her to the hospital!" She barely heard her father, who was screaming at the top of his lungs."I've got her!" Robbie shouted back, and picked her up as gently as he could, running her through the house and into his car."Come on kid, you better be alright..." He said to her. It wasn't until revisting this memory that she realized... His tone wasn't nervous, it was demanding. Commanding her to "be okay", not as a healthy individual, but for something else entirely.

...

Whilst Robbie's beat-to-shit 1970 Chevelle roared throughout the neighborhood, Sabri and Melik looked at eachother with a greeting stare of unease. Melik knew that Sabri saw something, and he was bound-determined to figure it out."What the hell happened?""I... Don't know.""Dude, you CLEARLY saw something. Spill it!"Sabri swallowed hard, then spoke again. "I saw her put some powder in her drink."Melik looked confused, then slightly aggresively pressured Sabri again. "You think she's a junkie?""No, no! She got the powder from Robert, who also took her in a flash..." Sabri relunctantly spilled.Melik thought for a second, then worriedly expressed a solemn expression. "You think...""Maybe." Sabri filled in before Melik finished.

They, together, looked towards the sky for answers. None were found.

...

Georgia woke up in a strange basement, her bra and T-Shirt had been removed, exposing her bare chest. This was, uncomfortable, to say the least. As she stirred, she would look around, to find that the strange area was surprisingly refined in-terms of decoration. At least, as refined as a possible sex-dungeon could be.

Upon thinking this, she quickly looked back down at herself, worried she might be entirely nude. Luckily, her skirt and stockings were left perfectly fine, just her chest was bared for some reason...

A deep sigh emanated from Robert as he entered. "Rude awakening, eh?" Carrying a coffee-cup full of liquid, not yet seen as he walked down the stairs."Sorry about all this. Really, I am."As he approached her, he lowered the left cup to her lips and nodded for her to drink. Although she hated this absolutely batshit situation, she wasn't going to tempt fate, so she drank. It tasted like solid salt mixed with surprisingly good coffee, which was better than it could've been at least.

"What's going on. Why did you undress me, freak?" She confidently asked her Uncle, unafraid of his strange and wild intentions.

"It'll be easier to take out your sternum when I sacrifice you for the Lord." He answered back stoically, drinking a sip of his coffee. "At least, I hope it will be." He then smirked malicously.
