Wil stood there for a long moment with his hands in his pockets before finally pulling the chair closer and sitting beside her again. His expression was calm now, steadier than before.
"Alright," he said quietly, taking her hands into his. "I agree to your terms."
Luoyang's gaze shifted from the cradle to him, her expression unreadable at first. Then, she gave a small nod. "Good. I'll have the papers ready before the ceremony."
Wil nodded in return, but his eyes softened as he looked toward the baby. "Now that we've handled the serious part," he said, leaning forward a little, "what name did you decide on?"
Luoyang smiled faintly, her eyes warming. "Xu Lan," she said softly. "Lan means 'orchid.' My father loved orchids. He said they represented quiet strength and patience. I'd like that for him."
