( Erin's POV )
Moana: Erin, it seems the enemy has retreated for the moment, everyone has gathered in the great hall, it seems they are talking about our new friend.
When Yuuki appeared, the feeling in the castle changed; it no longer seemed like we were fighting for our lives against the forces of the order, the people who returned and whom I was treating told me that the person who saved them matched Yuuki's description, With nothing else to do after I finished treating everyone, I started cooking, wondering if Yuuki would be hungry or thirsty when he returned, I think those were my instincts as an assistant at my father's inn.
What should I prepare for someone from another world? He has a special diet or something like that, while I was thinking about those minor things, Moana appeared and informed me that the battle was over for the time being.
Erin: Okay, so Yuuki is back?
Moana: No, it seems he stayed behind fighting; the others took the opportunity to escape.
Hearing that makes me a little annoyed, but I guess it's inevitable; they don't know he's on our side.
We went to the great hall and from the entrance I could hear the others arguing.
Marica: Who was that guy, another enemy? I don't want to fight anyone stronger than those Cynas archivists.
Seig: I don't know, but he's definitely not on the side of the order, that at least is reassuring.
Marica: What if the enemy of my enemy is my ally? I don't know if I want to take my chances with that.
Erin: That boy's name is Yuuki, he is not an enemy.
Marica: Erin, do you know that guy?
Moana: No, Erin and I met him near the gateway, he decided to help us in exchange for helping him return to his world.
Everyone fell silent for a moment; it was strange that he would agree to fight a platoon of soldiers so easily, but if he was as strong as the others said, It's probably not the first time he's done something like that.
After a minute of complete silence, Jale was the first to speak.
Jale: Liu, what do you think? Can we trust him?
Liu: Well, if he's not on the side of the Order and just wants help getting back to his world, I think it's safe to accept his help.
Seig: I think the same. If he wants to help us, I welcome him. We just have to take him to the gateway to return him to his world, right Hotupa?
Hotupa: y-yes, there shouldn't be any problem.
Wanderer: Seig, the strange boy who appeared, is sitting at the entrance of the castle.
Since I had already decided that we were going to help Yuuki, I hurried out of the great hall to check on him when I heard that he had returned.
Marica: Erin, where are you going?
Erin: I'm going to get him something to drink; he must be tired.
Marica: eh? Wait, I'll go with you.
When we arrived at the castle entrance, Yuuki was sitting with his back to us, with a pile of weapons stolen from the enemy beside him, I approached him and handed him a lemonade I had made.
Erin: here, you must be thirsty.
Yuuki: Thanks... I'm sorry, I forgot to ask your name.
Erin: Don't worry, my name is Erin.
Yuuki: Thanks, Erin.
Marica: Hi, my name is Marica. Listen, thank you for helping us, and I'm sorry for leaving you alone and running away.
Yuuki: Don't worry, you weren't in a condition to keep fighting anyway.
Liu: Excuse me, could you explain your situation to us?
When everyone else arrived, they introduced themselves and began asking him questions about what had happened before and after Seig and Marica had escaped, apparently, he wounded Cynas's archivists and took care of most of the order's soldiers, he said that now the enemy had two options: retreat or make one last desperate attack, and he was waiting for them to act.
Yuuki: By the way, who are those guys attacking you?
Marica: I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but isn't it a bit hasty to help without knowing what we're fighting for?
Yuuki: You are not bad people, I see no reason not to help you.
Jale: How can you say that with such certainty, when you don't even know us?
Yuuki: Instincts.
Everyone was surprised by Yuuki's confidence and peculiarity, myself included, but to continue the conversation I answered his earlier question.
Erin: They are the order of the one true way; in short, they are a group who religiously believe that each person's destiny is already predetermined, they want to spread their beliefs to others, and when they don't accept them peacefully, they use military power.
Yuuki: There are always groups like these in every world emerging from holes, and it seems they aren't smart enough to know when to retreat; they're attacking again.
Jale: How do you know that, instincts again?
Yuuki suddenly stands up and claims there will be another attack, and when Jale questions him, he shows a small, flat, rectangular object in his hand that displays a map with several red and blue dots moving; I've never seen anything like it.
Yuuki: I can see their movements using the radar on my smartphone.
Erin: Radar? Smartphone?
Curiosity got the better of me, and I approached him. After observing his smartphone for a few seconds, Yuuki took out a second smartphone and handed it to me, that was showing the same map that Yuuki was looking at.
Yuuki: The blue dots are us, the enemies are the red dots.
Yuuki stood up and prepared to fight; the others followed his example, and I saw the red dots approaching until I could see the soldiers of the order exactly as shown in the map, at the front of them were the two archivists from Cynas; before they were the great threat, but now they were beaten down and doubtful.
Yuuki: I didn't think I'd see you again, you licked your wounds and came back for seconds, maybe it's not that you don't know when to retire but you're actually masochists.
Conon: maldito!
Fergus: Listen, we don't want to fight tou, we just want a book that belongs to us, the false chronicle.
Marica: How can you say that after bringing your army to the gates of our village?
Conon: If your miserable village doesn't want the order's help, so be it, but we will take that book, by force if necessary.
Yuuki: It seems your partner is ready to throw down, but I'm curious, what is this book they're talking about?
Marica: We'll tell you about that later, but it doesn't belong to them; they just want to steal it from us.
Yuuki: Okay then.
Erin: Kyaa .
Just as the battle was about to begin, the smartphone Yuuki gave me started vibrating, and that surprised me a little, Looking back at the screen, I saw green dots approaching from the sides of the enemies.
Erin: Yuuki, I think someone's coming.
