With the rest of their platoon joining the fray, the remaining six Godly Spawns were defeated pretty fast. Still, the other new ascenders underestimanted these creatures. They weren't Rean and Roan, who had their Sky Celestial Energy, Crystal Void Weapons, and Crimson Lightning.
Their attacks were capable of injuring the creatures, but not enough to kill them, even if they had an opening. The Godly Creature's Bodies were just that tough. Because of that, the first two guys who made use of the openings their platoon created ended up being struck back.
One of them was deeply injured, but he survived and retreated. The other wasn't so lucky, though. He was killed on the spot, and before anyone could intervene, the Godly Spawn gobbled the new ascender's body in one go!
