They had deliberately avoided spending any Orb Points before because the cultivation technique took priority. Looking back, it had definitely been the correct decision. Before breaking through, they only had 153 Orb Points, and once Sister Orb finished upgrading their cultivation technique, only 28 remained. Had they bought this upgrade beforehand, there wouldn't have been enough points to complete the technique at all.
