"Head inquirer, I extended my congratulations on a successful accomplishment."
Kerien nodded with a smile to the passing mages. With a trail of followers, the head inquirer calmly walked through the dim hallways with her head held high. But aside from the looks of admiration everywhere, some were casting them strange glances.
"Are you alright?" Jagra whispered to Gaile, who was walking beside him. The elf stood a head taller than all the mages in the group, making him quite eyecatching. Furthermore, he was the only one garbed in dark coarse clothes.
Gaile flashed the man a smile, nodding his head as he drew nearer to Jagra as they walked with the group. He couldn't care less if they looked at him with disgust or fear. As long as he was with him…
The group finally arrived at their destination with the Head Inquirer opening the door. A fresh scent immediately greeted their noses. Moreover, a soothing mana surrounded them, offering a feeling of warm comfort.
