It stung he felt it all over his body as he began to shrink and wither feeling a little stupider and even noticing his scales lose any luster they originally had, becoming more of a sickly pale color. It hurt his entire body to feel this way. He had also lost 3 valuable skill points from failing the mission which meant he had less to use to recover what he had lost. He would need a new mission and soon if he was going to save his friends. If that was even an option anymore.

Thinking about his other predicament he realized that if he was a prisoner again that would mean he could potentially fail the other mission which would most definitely get him killed. A - 3 to all stats meant he would need to increase a few major stats to at least 4 to make sure he did not die from it. That means spending four of his valuable points just to save himself from the potential loss. He would hold off on that until he absolutely needed to do it but that did leave him with three points to spend on other stuff. What exactly would he need to get out of this situation?

First of all he really would like to feel better. The loss of muscle and size really made him feel weak and vulnerable. It was settled he would put one in Constitution and one in Body to return to his normal state. That left him with one extra point to spend. Deciding it would be better not to waste it on something unimportant he close the screen. As quickly as he had placed the points in his body molded to become his original form again. The transformation was just as painful as the first time. He felt stronger and more capable again.

The wagon began to move which jolted Kaz around for a second before he stabilized himself. He watched as his friends also started moving. Each one in different directions. Perish was holding Sarah who was crying and Windson looked at the ground lost in his own thoughts. Looking around he still saw no sign of Peter but hearing from Andi that he had managed to escape made him feel better. At least he can go back to a normal life away from monsters.

Days would pass with nothing happening leaving Kaz bored out of his mind. Thoughts of the others flooded in from time to time raising his adrenaline and making him antsy. The lady who bought him was not frugal with her food she made sure Kaz ate well which surprised him. She seemed genuinely kind but something told Kaz there was more behind this facade of hers.

Making it to their destination Kaz saw the large gates of what looked like a well-off city open before him. The wagon making its way into town. People would stop and look at him from time to time but none paid any serious attention to him. "It would appear monsters in cages are pretty common in these areas." He thought to himself as he continued to survey his surroundings.

After about an hour of traveling the town, they made their way to a large domed building waiting for them were strong-looking warriors all with chains around their legs shuffling to assist the lady with parking the wagon and moving the Cage Kaz was in. He did not like the idea of being moved around like luggage but he had no other choice. He continued to watch as they brought him to a cell full of other creatures like him. Mostly humanoid in nature they seemed to ignore him as he was taken out of his cage and shoved in the cell.

One of the warriors who pushed Kaz in the cell looked him over and smiled. "You have some meat on you. Perhaps you will survive the initiation tomorrow."

The other warrior chuckles and shakes his head. "He looks a little gross to me. His scales are definitely not well maintained. Maybe he's diseased?

Leaving they both laugh on their way out. Kaz ignores them and takes in his surroundings. He's played enough video games and tabletop games to know what kind of place this was. It looked like an arena meant to pit slaves against each other. He knew that if he was going to get out of this alive it would mean the people he is with now would not become his friends anytime soon.
