"Okay class we have another new student today and I believed he is the last one this school will accept". Mr. Medina paused and call him to his side. "Why don't you introduce yourself young man".
The new student stand beside the teacher's table and a lot of 'oohhhsss' echoed inside the room.
"Hello, I'm Cris Lawless and we just moved in last week. I heard that I was the last transferee that they accepted to this Academy and I am very thankful for that. I hope that we can all get along well". He gave them a wide friendly smile. And he can hear some giggles from the other girls in the room except for one. Selena Moon.
"Okay young man you may take your seat". Mr. Medina just ushered him with his hand.
"Thank you sir!". He walked towards Selena's row when he noticed an empty chair beside her.
"Hey dude!.... That chair is taken. The owner just took a leave of absence". Mark immediately said when he noticed Cris is going to take the empty seat.
Cris did not like what Mark just said but he didn't argue with him. "Mr. Medina, may I take this seat for now?". He knows this is the best solution to shut the man behind Selena.
"Sure!". Mr. Medina said without any hesitation.
Cris looked at Mark but didn't say a thing. He knows he won this round today. "Selena Moon, right?". He asked as soon as he was seated.
"Yes!....but how did you know me, have we met somewhere before?". She asked with a confused look on her face as she face him.
"No we haven't, I just asked for the student names in every class I'm going to have. I just thought I might know someone. It's kinda hard to be the new guy". A hint of sadness glint in his eyes and he knows she saw it.
Selena didn't do any remarks. Although she thinks that he is right, it's really hard to be a new guy. But then again with his good looks he probably won't get bored. A lot of woman will definitely throw themselves at him.
Cris is with Selena's three major classes. He always sits beside Selena but she just ignored him.
Lunch time.
"Selena that dude keep on staring at you, do you want me to pull out his eyeballs?". Kevin said jokingly.
"Nah!.... Let those cheerleaders do that for us". Selena was talking about Quin's group The Stronghold Cheerleaders. They hold the championship title in this town.
She noticed Quin avoided her after the incident of her claiming Luke as his man. But this morning Quin became a part of the group ogling (Clint's word) over the new guy in school.
"I don't like that guy!". Sam said then gave Cris a death stare.
"Of course you don't!". Selena said before she takes another bite of her favorite strawberry cupcake. "Because you are a man, and men are territorial. But if you are a girl, then that's another story".
Sam just looked at Selena. He understood what she meant.
"Do you like that guy Selena?". Clint asked her like a kid.
"I don't know". She paused and took a glanced at Cris' table. She was surprised when he looked at her and grin. "There's something about him that makes me want to take two step back when he's near me". She said then shrug her shoulders.
Mark's forehead wrinkled. He also felt really odd about the new guy. "Just avoid him and if you can ignore him do that. I feel uneasy too when he's around". Mark directly said what's on his mind.
Selena took a quick glance at Cris again. She was surprised to see him staring at her then he gave her a wide smile that looks very inviting.
'Why do I feel anxious about him. He is good looking but he gives me the creeps'. She mumbled.
Whole day at the Academy. Every girls are talking about Cris Lawless. They've been sharing information about him. All of them know that he came from the city and his family bought the Grimonds mansion that worth at least a couple of millions. It means Cris is loaded. He also has a Porsche Ferrari and some attendants who drives and picks him up from school. In total he was known as a Prince.
All this didn't scape Selena's ears but she just ignore them. Her thoughts now is with Luke, her male god. 'What to cook later?'. That's all in her mind for almost half a day.
Selena is watching the clock inside their room. She is counting every minute. Her fingers are tapping on her table. She tap every time the clock's hand move, she looks anxious. The four lads can smell her anxiety and they are in wonder. They can see her staring at the clock. When the clock's hands strikes at four. Selena stand up and quickly gathered her things then run as fast as she could
"Selena where are you going?". Clint asked her loudly. All the four of them also running after her.
"Home... Need to cook fast!". She quickly turned just to answer Clint then run again.
The four lads stops and Mark's eyes became foggy. He is sending a message to the other wolf outside the Academy and also to their Alpha.
L. S. Corporation.
Luke received Mark's message and his lips curved upward. He's still in a meeting and getting bored. His spirit was lifted when he received that message. He saw Drew looking at him and he can see a faint smile on his lips. Luke shook his head. He knows what he was thinking. He was once a love struck fool after he met Sylvia and now they are together and his Beta is at peace with his own mate. How he would love to mark Selena now so that he won't worry too much everytime his eyes left her. He sighed deeply.
Luke's house.
Selena already prepared everything she needs.
"Today is fish meat, veggies and fruits". She was talking to herself while looking at the food she's going to cook. She was very thankful that her mother taught her to cook. Before she was even too lazy to boil water but when Erin told her that the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach she tried to learn every dish in Erin's cook book.
She was washing the veggies when she saw a big dog in front of the kitchen. It was staring at her. She frowned because it's presence is quite new to her. She saw it looked on his side then run quickly. Then another big dog walks by. Selena smiled she always see him around and it's presence gives her a sense of protection. She took a fried chicken out of the fridge then heat it in the oven. She knows this furball won't leave yet. He always stays till dark.
Selena walks out of the kitchen door and sat on the ground. The fried chicken is on a clean plate. And it's smells good.
"Come here boy!". She calls for him. She saw a confusion in his eyes. "Don't be afraid, I know you're a nice guy. Come quick!". She lend her hand to him.
The wolf slowly walked towards her lowering his head as a sign of respect. He put his head under her hand means he is accepting and acknowledging her. Though he knows that their future Luna don't know anything about this gestures of them.
Selena patted the wolf's head. She was surprised how big he is up front. "Aren't you a good boy, come and eat!". She holds the chicken in her hands and fed her new found friend.
The wolf is reluctant but eats what their future Luna is offering. He was thinking she will be the mother of all the Shadow Claw Pack in the future and it is an honor to be fed by her. He sat down and finished the food she gave to him. He rest his head to the ground not touching her skin because no one is allowed to do so except the Alpha.
Selena pet the large wolf with a dirty brown color. She was so engrossed to what she was doing she didn't realized that there are other pair of eyes watching them. The large wolf sense a faint of unfamiliar scent. He stands up and made a low growl. Selena got startled.
"What's wrong?". She saw him turned and stand in front of her. He was growling. Selena becomes anxious. She can sense someone is watching them.
Loud growls echoed in the air and two large wolves appeared in an instant. They are growling in front of Selena viciously. The wolf she was petting earlier seems to be pushing her inside the house by slowly taking a step backwards while she's still standing behind him. She can understand what he wants to do but she is worried about his safety. She knows he is readying itself to fight back just in case the two vicious wolves attack him. The two wolves looks more vicious and larger than him their eyes have an killing intent and their auras gives her a strange sense like it was evil. Selena was now in the kitchen's front door. She was hesitant to leave him but she respect what he was doing. It was for her own good she thought.
