The next morning, Ivory heard her phone ring and she answered it.
"Hello?"
It was her husband. Blue told her to get ready and to be in the main room in a half hour. Ivory then hung up and shook Lily awake. When she told Lily about the phone call, the two young women quickly got ready. Lily took a quick shower as Ivory brushed her teeth and washed her face above the bathroom sink.
The two got into their all black outfits, which was the only color they were allowed to wear for important meetings and with Lyra in one hand and a bottle in the other, Ivory was halfway down the marble staircase from the mezzanine until she saw Blue and the Seraphyne gathered all around the room and on the stairs.
Blue summoned everyone.
The entire mansion gathered. Lily stood next to Ivory, and they both scanned the room for people they knew.
Red.
Harley.
Rover.
Birdie.
Honor.
Oak.
The midwife.
The doctor.
And surprisingly enough, One Tooth.
Ivory remembered him. She was introduced to him at the gang's hospital when she was injured
Everyone Ivory had recognized was there --- most she didn't, though she would be acquainted with them at some point. The members who had survived every betrayal and every test stood in the hallways and the main banquet room.
But this time, nobody was being tested.
This time, they were witnessing history.
Blue stood before them.
Calm, confident, and certain.
"The time has come."
No one moved.
"No more hiding."
Behind him, the large screens turned on.
Images appeared.
Not of the Blue Dragons.
Of Earth.
Cities.
Governments.
Millions of people who had no idea what was coming.
"The Seraphyne have waited long enough. We have been at work for centuries; we all knew that humans were the inferior race, that they would destroy earth and deplete its natural resources; from now on, Earth belongs to us. This is the plan ---"
Ivory watched the faces around her.
Some looked excited.
Some looked nervous.
Some looked like they finally understood what Blue had been preparing them for.
She looked at Blue. And for the first time... she realized he had never been building a gang. He had been building an empire. The Blue Dragons mafia was just a cover up for an alien domination scheme, and humans were dumb enough to believe it.
"I will hack the entire system and send a message to humanity from my room. I will speak to them on the screen, and they will have six hours to decide if they want to be compliant and be inferior to us, like they should have always been, or if they want to be imprisoned and killed. Many will want to flee, and many more will want to fight us. That's the point. We are better, taller, older, stronger, and wiser. There's more of us than them."
The Seraphyne cheered.
"Now, the rest of our population will be watching us from the radar. One million of them! They are ready to take over Earth."
The Seraphyne cheered.
"Let's do this!" Honor shouted and everyone except Lily and Ivory cheered, "Seraphyne! Seraphyne!"
Lily and Ivory looked at each other in sudden fear; they were part of a big franchise and now could not stop it, no matter what they wanted to happen.
