Chapter 420 - Pokemon master of tactics: Chapter 420

Maria opened her briefcase and found a massive amount of Pokedollars in it.

Alex couldn't find any Pokemon that suited Maria so he decided to compensate her with money.

Apart from the fact that Alex had the feeling that Maria doesn't need another Born Shallow Gold Pokemon right now with her team, with two Shallow Diamonds.

From the information he had received from Maria, Alex had a rough idea of the born potential of Maria's Pokemon.

-----------

Maria:

SS-Rank Arbok at level 54 (Shallow Diamond)

S-Rank Pidgeot at level 52 (Deep Gold)

S-Rank Sandslash at level 50 (Gold)

S-Rank Nidoqueen at level 50 (Gold)

SS-Rank Garchomp at level 49 (Shallow Diamond)

S-Rank Alakazam at Level 43 (Deep Gold)

-----------

Garchomp was a Born Gold Pokemon and it was even possible with adequate investment to get it to the Diamond potential.

Arbok was relatively quick to reach the Shallow Diamond potential, but judging from Maria's words, she had spent the most money on Arbok of all her Pokemon(s) for items to help it reach this potential.

Shallow Diamond was the maximum if Maria couldn't find a way to earn as much money as Alex, which is almost impossible.

Nidoqueen, Sandslash, and even Pidgeot, according to Maria, where born with A-rank potential. Alex had a hunch that only Pidgeot out of the three was born with Deep Silver potential because he was the only Pokemon out of those three who managed to reach the Deep Gold potential.

Alakazam was the Pokemon that Maria had spent the least money on, although the difference between the other Pokemon wasn't ridiculously big, so Alex had a hunch that this Pokemon might be a Born Shallow Gold Pokemon, although he's not 100% sure.

He would need to look at the percentage of Alakazam's potential to give a accurate answer. although he was still fairly certain that this one was a Born Shallow Gold Pokemon.

Because Alakazam and Garchomp still had potential, he wanted to give Maria money as a reward so she could use most of that money to improve the potential of those two Pokemon.

Maria looked at the money in the briefcase as she said, "Thanks, Alex. Although it would be helpful if you could tell me how much money that is anyway. It's really hard to tell when the money is so mixed up."

Alex showed a smile as he said, "30 million."

Maria showed a slightly surprised expression when she heard that.

That was 5 times what Elise and Daniel got and although these two got Pokemon(s) from Alex, the Pokemon(s) were only worth 10 to 15 million Pokedollars.

Maria's reward was twice as valuable as Elise's and Daniel's.

Elise and Daniel looked at Maria for a moment but said nothing. Although the two didn't want to admit it, Maria was the strongest of the three as a trainer and the trainer with the best potential.

Although Daniel also had a Shallow Diamond Pokemon, it doesn't compare to Maria who had two, and which 1 of those two had a good chance of reaching the Diamond potential soon.

Elise, the weakest of the three, did not show an unhappy expression when she realized that Maria's reward was twice as good as her own and had an indifferent expression.

Daniel, who sees himself not far behind Maria, showed a slightly dissatisfied expression when he noticed this.

Alex noticed this and he explained, "The main reason for this huge difference is because Maria was a participant at the beginning of this test. She had to give up this test to get on my team and because of that alone, she should have gotten more than the two of you. Of course, the reason that she is the strongest subordinate in the entire test is also a valid reason and just as valid as the main reason. "

Daniel, hearing Alex's words, wore a slightly surprised expression as he said, "Ahh Boss, I wasn't unhappy with Maria but with myself... so you don't have to explain to me why you made that decision."

Alex, realizing he had a misunderstanding, caught a slight laugh as he said, "Haha, is that so? I was really saying unnecessary words then."

Maria, hearing this, said in an inaudible whisper, "It's not the first time this has happened."

Alex, who now had a better sense of perception than before thanks to his improved psychic, heard those words.

He flashed a small smile as he said, "OK, now let's talk about our new organization."

"First of all, our organization will be referred to as the Sky Merchant Guild and this organization will initially not engage in any criminal activity and thus not be considered a criminal organization. At least not in public."

"I intend to split this organization into two parts. The public side and the underground side which need to be hidden as much as possible so that the Alliance doesn't know about it. At least for a few years."

"On the public side, we will sell with Pokemon(s), Trainer's services, and toys that we will sell."

Maria, Elise, and Daniel wore surprised expressions when they heard the word "Toys" from Alex.

Alex started to smile slightly as he explained, "Ohh you're surprised?. Well, toys might not be the right word because the target audience isn't children but adults and teenagers."

"I'm already in talks with Elite Entertainment, the largest card manufacturer in all of Hoenn, and it probably won't be long before I buy this company."

"We will soon be producing and selling two new trading card games"

Although the Pokemon world had many Pokemon card games, it didn't have a card game like the Pokemon Trading Card Game in Alex's old world.

Alex found these card games far worse than the card games he knew from his old world.

Yugioh, Hearthstone, Magic, and Pokemon were many times better than the card games of this world, not only in terms of art but also in terms of game flow and general enjoyment.

That's why Alex was so sure that he could "create" a better card game than the competition in this world.

Alex, who spent much of his time playing old-school Yugioh, Pokemon, and Hearthstone, understood these three card games very much.

That's why he is also confident to "create" Yugioh and Pokemon TCG in this world.

Because there are already so many Pokemon-based card games out there, Alex wasn't sure how popular Pokemon TCG will be so he wants to create Yugioh as a security option at the same time.

Yugioh in this world would be very fresh and Alex believed it would become very popular and a way to make lots of money.

Especially because he was planning to have an anime made for Yugioh, which would act as a perfect advertisement for his card game.
