"Hey you! Stop right their!" someone shouted to a small figure runing like crazy. The figure didn't slow down after hearing that. Instead, he ran even faster than he already was!
*whimper*
The small boy took a moment to look at the bundle in his arms and glanced at the little one's cute sleeping face.
"Don't worry, its alright. I'll protect you." He said to it, and then continued running onward.
"Damn it! That kid's asking for it! Open fire!!!" Immediately after hearing that the just over 6 year old boy felt a searing pain bloom from his back before he tripped and tumbled off of the side of the path and into a ravine!
Down and down he tumbled rolling head over toe, hitting into everything in his path. In his arms laid the small form he was willing to give his all to protect.
'Looks like I'm dead now, huh?' he thought to himself as he came to a stop at the foot of the ravine on his back, his face to the sky.
He felt something warm and wet seep onto his arm and up to his palm, and lifted his hand to his face to find that it was dyed a deep red.
Instantly his body fell to freezing point. With the last bit of his strength he pointed his hand to the sky, as if trying to grab the stars.
'Sorry Mom, Dad. I've let you down.' he thought to himself before allowing a single tear to slide from his eyes. Then, he lost the feeling in his arm, and then darkness flooded over.

*sigh* "This poor child. His life was cut short for something so trivial." a beautiful woman said from the sidelines. Her skin was like a pure white sheet, which fits the flowing white, off-the-shoulder dress dress she is wearing that, although it flowed freely, insinuated her beyond robust figure and seemed to enhance the view of her curves around her waist was a light green see-through trail off that hung low just beneath her buttocks. Around her shoulders was an almost cream, white, transparent shawl that flared upwards in a halo around her in an almost natural look, as if a breeze held it there. She had fully steel-gray hair that looked either full black or full white from the right angle, and made it all the way to below her waist. Her whole existence glowed, quite literally. She looked young, not even past early thirties, but her eyes would tell you that she was probably 10 times older than she looked!
She probably would have looked like a guardian angel, had it not been for the 6 inch long, obsidian horns sticking out from the top of her head, her long fingers that had what looks more like claws instead of fingernails crowning them, her pointy eyes that reminded people of wolves, and the biggest one yet, the markings that curled in under her eyes!
She was sitting on a rock, one of her legs propped up and an elbow propped up on that leg's knee. Her head rested on her knuckles as she gazed at the boy in-front of her, her head tilted as if she was studying the most interesting thing in the world.
"Well it's not my place to judge humans and their behaviours anyway. I might as well be off n..."
"Bark, bark, bark!!!" a wolf pup came to her side and started barking at her. The mere fact that on was there in the first place is amazing enough as all forms of moving life within the radius of a thousand kilometers long since evacuated due to her presence.
"Oh so that's how it is then." She said in understanding as the pup finished yapping.
"Yap!" the young wolf said in confirmation.
"Well then, in that case, we can't just leave this young hero to die now can we." She said before hopping off of the rock and walking to the boy's body. She took a look at the mangled, soon-to-be corpse before her.
After one look, she shook her head in mild amazement.
"Wow, to think they would use such an attack on a child. They really were aiming to kill you at all costs huh little one." She stated to the pup beside her.
The little ball of fur curled up on the child's chest and whimpered mournfully, but hopefully as he felt a faint pulse.
"Well then, looks like I have no other choice." The lady said before falling to her knees and taking the boy's already outstretched hand into her own. She then proceeded to licking his fore and middle fingers. She swirled her tongue around the two digits and then dipped it into the slit in-between them, relishing in the taste of the child's flesh.
"Mi Lady! What are you doing!?" A deep, sophisticated voice called out in her mind in shock, an expression she has never heard with this voice in a while, causing her to grin in amusement, displaying her rows of sharp, pointy teeth in the process.
"The wound is too severe for a simple healing so I have to do this anyway if I want to save him. It's unavoidable." She replied before taking both of the fingers into her mouth and starting to suck on them like they were an ice cold treat.
"But Mi Lady! He is but a child! Not to mention, I can sense his potential and his power will probably never be enough to hold an average beast without loosing control! Don't you think such a blessing would just be wasted on him?" The voice tried again.
With the fingers still in her mouth, she replied "Ah, it seems that your still a century too early in fully comprehending these creatures called humans. I have faith in this youth. And to prove it, I'm gonna leave you with him." She finished off before withdrawing the fingers from out of her mouth until just the first knuckles were left. Then she bit down on them!
"Wait, what!? Wait! Mi Lady! Don't do this to meeeeeeeeeeeee...." the voice cried out, but it was already too late. Its conscience was already leaking from the lady's mind and into the body of the child.
"Take care of this one for me okay, Barthalamus." She whispered. Immediately afterwards, ancient relics as black as tar formed a chain and rotated around the arm she held before spreading and interweaving around the child's body. The chains then fell upon the child and seeped into his skin. Almost instantly the boy started to transform, his hair grew longer, his eyes turned wolf-like. Hair started to grow all over his body and his teeth elongated.
"Oh dear. It looks like it didn't work after all. Barthalamus is going to scold me for giving him such an insignificant boy upon the many other bodies. Oh well." She started and sat down to watch the rest of the transformation. However, something strange happened.
Midway into the initial transformation stage, it just... stopped.
The wound started to heal soon after so the lady didn't think much on it, but then something stranger occurred.
When about thirty percent of the wound was healed, the transformation started to retract in on itself! Soon, the fangs, fur, claws, and extended hair retracted back into him, displaying his cute, baby features!
It took another five minutes before the wound completely closed up, after which the woman couldn't sense her companion's presence anymore.
"Hmmm. Now this is unusual." She muttered to herself. The little pup was running circles around her in joy, leaping and yapping like crazy.
She reached down and grabbed his hand and found out two things. One being that even though the blood-loss was tremendous and the fact that he almost turn into a full wolf, the child was not in danger of loosing his life. The other thing was that her old friend was fast asleep due to exhaustion! It's almost too funny to laugh at!
"Wow. To suppress a wolf who was so powerful that even the greatest seal had problems doing such, with such an unorthodox method, my how Barthalamus will curse once he wakes up. And it doesn't look like he will be able to for a long long while. His pride would never make him live it down." She said, giggling like a school girl on drugs.
"This lad." She said after wiping a tear from the corner of her eyes, "Although he won't be a natural born genius our a genuine monster, he will most definitely be the most unusual one in this world of Reiales." With that and a smile, she glided silently into the forest behind them, the pup following suit.
A few hours later, a wandering cultivator came and found the child lying in the bushes after killing a beast that was distracted by the scent of the boy's blood.
