Third-person POV
By 5 p.m. sharp, the video call on Leo's laptop showed six windows of six leaders from seven nations spanning across the globe:
Indonesia – President Paul Suharto
Greece – President Paraskevas Agathangelou
Spain – Prime Minister Santiago Martinez
Turkey – President Oguz Bülbül
Italy – President Leopoldo Alberto
Brazil – President Paulo Rios
Out of the 6 heads of state, Paul was more striking because he was the grandson of Suharto, the dictator of Indonesia responsible for the mass arrests, cronyism, and genocides in most of Indonesia's history.
They also found out about the Hakaze Inn Conspiracy when the MİT (Turkey's intelligence agency) and the ABIN (Brazil's intelligence agency) received tips from the NBI on the files.
"This is unacceptable!" Oguz spat (not literally). "Japan? Seriously?"
"They will ruin their economy and culture just for the gate, aren't they, amigo?" Santiago rubbed his temples hard as if he was having a migraine at the moment.
"Probably," responded Leo with a steady and firm voice. "They're treating Japan and its prime minister, Motoi Shinzō, like low class commoners."
"They had gone too far!" Paraskevas slammed his fist on his desk. "Doing that to an ally like Japan is an affront to international relations!"
"That's right," Paulo responded back. "We must do something about that. My Japanese long-term residents and Brazilian Japanese citizens will have a stroke if I released it to the public."
"Right," Oguz replied.
Leopoldo and Paraskevas nodded.
"We'll assist in this operation, guys," Leopoldo responded. "My AISE is ready to shell out a handful of their agents for this mission."
The same goes for the other 5 countries with their own country's intelligence agencies: MİT, ABIN, BIN (Indonesia's), EYP (Greece's), and CNI (Spain's).
"Also, Paraskevas," Oguz said to Paraskevas. "I'm ready to sign a partial ceasefire between our armies. They may continue bickering over our disputed borders, but our intelligence agencies will cooperate in this mission. How's that sound?"
Paraskevas then nodded. "Yes, evet, Mr. Bülbül. Sure, let's do that tomorrow morning."
With support from the six nations, Leo nodded. "Okay, gentlemen, we'll call this Operation: Crusades." Santiago then chuckled. "Nice one, kaibigan. Inspired by the crusades of medieval Europe. Creative." Leo then nodded. "Yes, and in this operation, we are the Middle Powers Coalition."
They nodded at the name, before the highly encrypted call ended for the coming evening.
