Scarlett Xavier moved backward, her whole body pressed against the other side of the car door.
She reached out to open the car door, but Julian Rhodes' hand was faster, pulling her hand back and pressing it into his arms, "Stop it!"
His tone carried an air of compromise with a hint of helplessness.
He didn't know why, but in just two days, he couldn't help but bow his head to her.
The main issue was that Scarlett Xavier was too difficult to deal with, fitting for a designer with top-tier imagination. Even though he hadn't done anything, just meeting a female colleague, she could already imagine a mistress.
If this continues, he can't even begin to imagine how to wrap things up.
But she wasn't afraid at all.
All in all, Julian Rhodes now had an illusion that he'd never be able to straighten his back again.
Scarlett Xavier didn't intend to argue with him, knowing that if she fought with him, she'd only suffer a loss. She said, "Let go of me and we'll talk slowly."
