"Don't mention her to me." Julian now felt more and more heartbroken as he thought about it.
He had put in so much effort but got nothing in return, and it was driving him crazy.
Felix said, "What's going on? Tell me about it."
"I don't want to say."
"Come on, tell me!" Felix said, "Driving is so boring. Tell me some jokes to pass the time."
"Felix!" Julian said sternly, "Is it fun to take other people's pain as a joke? I'm about to explode in anger, and you still want to hear jokes."
"..." Felix raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm just trying to help you out! With your preschool-level emotional intelligence, what if your wife gets mad and leaves you without my help?"
"..." That last comment really struck a nerve with Julian.
Julian sulked, "If she leaves, she leaves. After all, I did nothing to wrong her. It's she who doesn't know how to appreciate what's given."
