"But I want to go." Scarlett didn't have this idea before.
She didn't know why, but now hearing Jonah say she could go over there, her heart suddenly started racing.
Jonah stared at Scarlett, "Are you crazy? Do you know how many people over there in Veridia are trying to get out? Everyone is running out like mad, and you want to go. How are you different from Julian in this?"
"I want to go." Scarlett stared at him, "Help me figure out a way. Brother, I'm begging you!"
Jonah put down his chopsticks, suddenly losing his appetite. He felt he was going insane—why bring this up when it's a bad idea?
He said to Scarlett, "I've told you, don't even think about it. You might not care about your life, but I do."
After saying that, he walked away directly.
Scarlett also put down her chopsticks and followed him. Seeing Jonah sit down on the sofa, Scarlett tugged at his sleeve, "Help me, please? You said before that if I needed help, I could come to you. Help me."
