Mrs. Rhodes was sitting downstairs, having dinner with Mr. Rhodes. Liam didn't come home today, so she thought for a moment and couldn't help but call him.
Liam was outside, picked up his mother's call, and said, "Mom."
"Didn't you ask someone to find news about Scarlett Xavier? Have you found anything?"
Liam said, "I'll tell you as soon as I get any news."
"When will there be any news?" Mrs. Rhodes said, "If she doesn't come back, when will Julian return home?"
Liam rubbed his temples. He purposely left the house because he didn't want to keep thinking about Scarlett and Julian.
Hearing his mother say this, he felt helpless too, "I'll go check on him later. Don't overthink it. I still have things to do; I'll hang up now."
After hanging up the phone, Liam let out a deep breath. He was at a friend's house today.
His friend's family had a baby, so he and Jane Cheney came to take a look.
