Everyone realized that the eyes of the sun members here were not saying that they were not strong enough, but instead saying that they did not have the strength in terms of commanding ability to bring the group in to their home. They were also not telling them to leave.
It was clear that the idea of a place anchored that did not move about was not something they wished to turn away.
From what Walker and them had already learned, this was a race that survived and gained strength despite what they faced. However, they had the power to fight off greater adversaries time and time again.
But that made their culture entirely about the rules of survival that they knew. Hence why several had come to see what was approaching their home when they sensed the manas change.
Walker and his group could have been a threat to them. Could have been another set of monsters trying to eat them. Trying to capture them. Trying to eradicate them entirely.
