Saturday...the weekend had finally started and the Arcanas were looking forward to more leisurely days. It's not that they hated school it's just that if they had to choose they would rather stay home. The weekends reminded them of better days when they didn't have to go to school and when they were allowed to sleep until noon, which is exactly what they chose to do.
Ad was the first to wake up and he looked at the clock above his bed, and it read quarter after twelve. He stayed in his nightclothes as he walked out of his room and downstairs where he saw no one making food. His stomach growled, so he went over to his brother's room to wake him up.
He shook his brother's bed trying to wake him up, but all that did was make him change sleeping positions. Ad was impatient so he just kicked his brother's leg, and he woke up quickly.
"What is it Ad?!"
"I'm hungry."
"Ugh, why couldn't you just stay asleep longer?" he groaned as he got off his bed.
Ad said, "Doesn't matter now, either we get food or I keep bugging you Solis," while crossing his arms.
Solis gave in to his demands, so he got up to change. He looked back at his brother and told him, "Fine, we'll go out to eat, go wake Fera up as well."
Ad left quickly and went into Fera's room where a deafening scream could be heard the next second, accompanied with, "Ad you're so annoying! Don't wake me up like that!"
Solis smiled a little as he heard the racket from the other room and continued changing. A minute later, he exited his room and knocked on his sister's door and asked her, "Hey Fera! We're going to leave soon, are you almost done?"
"Yeah!" she shouted through the door, "Just go outside! I'll be with you guys soon!"
He banged on her door to let her know he heard. He went downstairs and saw Ad watching something on the television again. He went up to his brother and lightly smacked his head and this caused Ad to look up at his brother. Solis made a gesture with his head to go outside, so Ad got up and went out ahead of Solis. He followed Ad outside soon after.
Solis and Ad were sitting in the car listening to the radio as they waited for their sister to come out. They played and joked around a bit when they heard a knock on the car window. They expected their sister, but it was Lunis instead.
Solis rolled down his window and greeted her, "Hey, Lunis. Up early today I see."
"Yeah, I'm still kind of sleepy. You guys going somewhere?"
"Yeah, Ad woke us up earlier and said he was hungry so we're going out to eat. Is Muun not with you?"
"Of course she is, stupid!" She tapped Solis's head with her knuckles and moved her body out of the way to reveal where Muun was, "She just lagged behind is all!"
Muun went up to the car window and greeted Solis, "Hi Solis!"
"Good morning Muun!" he said to her with a soft smile.
Lunis put her hand on her sister's head and asked, "Muun, Solis said they're going somewhere do you want to go with them?"
"Where are you going, Solis?" Muun looked up at him as she asked.
"We're going to eat, we'd love it if you came along, but only if Lunis says you can."
Muun looked up at her sister to see if she would grant her permission to go. She stared at her for a long time then Lunis spoke up, "Of course you can silly! Hop in the car with them."
Muun's eyes lit up and she went straight for the door handle. It was locked though so Ad slid over his seat to unlock it. She opened the door and got in and sat next to Ad. Lunis closed the door as she went in and saw that Solis was looking at her.
"What?"
"I was wondering if you were coming along, Lunis."
"Not today, I have stuff to help out with back at the house."
Unlike the Arcanas, the Alexandria sisters were lucky enough to have been adopted into a family. Solis was happy for them, but the thought of them having parents made him sad sometimes.
"Alright, next time then, Lunis. Tell Mrs. Europa and Mr. Verne I said hi."
"I will," she responded. She looked over at her sister and told her, "Be good for them, Muun. I have to go back home and help out mom and dad. I'll see you later," before she left she caressed her sister's face.
"Bye, big sister!" she shouted at Lunis's retreating back.
Solis rolled his window back up, and looked back at Muun, and asked her, "Do you have a place in mind you would like to go eat, Muun?"
"No, I'm fine with wherever you guys go," she said joyously.
"Alright, don't complain when we go somewhere you don't like Muun," he teasingly said to her.
Unlike Ad, who could get annoyed easily, Muun was a lot more calm and sweet, so she just told him, "I won't because you always treat me nicely, Solis."
"Ahh, you got me Muun," and he reached over to pinch her nose.
"Ouch that hurt Solis," she said rubbing her nose.
Solis laughed a little at how adorable she was and told her, "Relax, I didn't pinch that hard."
He sat back in his seat and they continued waiting for Fera. A few more minutes went by and they still hadn't seen her. Solis was starting to get annoyed, so he got out of the car and went inside the house. He walked back upstairs to Fera's room and knocked on her door. He didn't get a response so he knocked again. Still, no response so he decided to yell, "Fera I'm coming in, you better be ready!"
He busted into her room and saw something unimaginable. His sister was in her bed sleeping again. He walked over to her bed and, furiously, ripped off her blanket. Underneath she was fully clothed and ready to go out but she chose to go to sleep.
Fera woke up and saw her brother standing above her, "H-hey Solis," she said nervously, "did you need something?"
He didn't answer her and his silence made her nervous, so she got up quickly and told him, "Hehe, m-my bad. I fell asleep, but I'll go down right away," she slipped past him and went towards her door.
When she got one foot out, she started running towards the stairs. She felt her brother chase after her and he wasn't far behind. Soon, she was out the front of the house and into the backseat of the car. Solis got in right after her and slammed his door shut.
Ad saw his sister climb in and he started staring at her. After she calmed herself down, she noticed Ad looking at her so she asked, "What?"
All he said was, "You're an idiot Fera," and resumed playing around with Muun.
"Shut up Ad," she responded fiercely.
She looked up into the car's mirror and saw her brother staring at her intensely, and she could tell she messed up big time, it seems Ad was right.
Solis checked one last time if everyone was seated and buckled up before driving off. Ad and Muun continued playing as Solis drove to their destination. They were only a few minutes away now from where they would be eating. As they got closer, Muun noticed the establishment they were approaching and she got up from her seat and stuck her face up against the window.
Solis yelled at her to stay seated, but Muun didn't care and kept her face glued to the window. The place that held Muun's attention was called Dragon's Maw. Solis found the place long ago when he and his siblings were still new to Fire Palms, Florida, a city on the west coast. Fire Palms were known for their unusual palm trees that lined their coasts when, only at dawn or dusk, the sunlight hit the trees it turned their leaves orange and red. The locals described it as if 'the palm trees were on fire' so they named their city Fire Palms.
When Solis first found the place, he thought the name was peculiar but decided to check it out because it piqued his interest. After that first visit, he's loved Dragon's Maw since, and he brought his siblings there and they loved it as well. Since then, they've gone back every once in a while, and when Lunis and Muun found out about the place they liked it too.
He parked the car right in front of the building and told everyone they could get out. They all stared up at the two-story establishment that was coated in a pastel-like orange. On the front of the building, was a mural of a dragon with an open mouth. Designs of scales decorated the side of the building and made it look as if the establishment was truly a dragon once.
They entered the building and were greeted with a floor space of neatly arranged tables. It was like a typical fast-food establishment, some round tables here and there, while there were some tables up against the walls each separated by thick stone barriers. The floor was smooth and a gradient of light brown. The walls were the same shade of brown and had art mythical creatures plastered all around the establishment.
They took a table that was situated at the back right corner of the building. Solis told his siblings and Muun to stay there while he got their orders. He went up to the waiting line in front of the registers and looked over the menu. The line got shorter and shorter and soon Solis found himself at the front. He was still looking up at the menu when the cashier spoke to him.
"Excuse me sir, are you ready to order?"
"Yes, just one moment," and he continued looking.
A minute or so later, he looked back down at the cashier and told her his order, "Alright, I'll take one of your kid's meals, one of the fiery burgers, the dragon's chicken fingers, and the meat platter."
"Very well sir," said the lady, and then she added, "any drinks as well?"
"Of course, orange juice for the kid's meal, two fountain drinks, and a lemonade please."
The cashier input his orders into the register and asked one more question, "Is that all?"
"No, that's it."
"Great! your total is thirty-four dollars and sixty-three cents."
Solis took out his wallet and conjured up some money, and he gave it to the cashier. She took the fifty-dollar bill and opened up the register to give him his change, but Solis told her to keep it.
"A-are you sure sir?"
"I am," he said casually.
"Alright then! W-we'll be out with your order as soon as we're done," she handed him a card that had the number thirteen on it and he went back to their table.
When he got back, Fera asked him, "Hey, Solis did you get what I wanted?"
"The chicken wings right?"
"Yeah."
"Of course I got them, now we just wait."
They talked amongst themselves for about eight minutes when the lady who helped him at the register came to their table. She handed each of them their order and when Solis was handed his, he looked up from where he was staring and saw the lady.
Earlier at the register, Solis didn't know it was her since a hat had covered her face, but now that he could look underneath the hat he saw a familiar face.
"Quintessa?" he said aloud.
The lady looked back at Solis and blurted, "Solis?!"
His siblings and Muun were confused at who this person Solis talked to was. Muun spoke up and asked Solis, "Hey, Solis, is this a friend of yours?"
"Not really a 'friend' just someone I know."
Muun took his word for it and settled down, but it was Fera who added something unexpected. She looked, wide-eyed, at Solis and said, "She's a descendant of Byakko..."
"Yes, I know that Fera," Solis said to her.
The name 'Byakko' made Ad look at Quintessa and put his guard up, but Solis put a palm out and asked him to relax.
Fera leaned over the table and whispered into her brother's ear, "Does she know about us then, brother?"
Solis turned to answer his sister, "She does, I apologize for forgetting to tell you and Ad."
She sat back in her seat and continued staring at Quintessa. She stood still at the edge of their table and started to feel nervous. She spoke up to ask, "What's with all the whispering, is something wrong?"
Ad asked Quintessa, "Yeah, there is. My sister says you're connected to Byakko, is that true?"
She didn't get a chance to answer because Solis spoke instead, "She is Ad, believe it or not, but she's the granddaughter of Byakko."
His siblings stared at him in disbelief, but Muun was still out of the loop. She knew the name Byakko but didn't know who exactly he was. Her parents had told her stories before of Byakko, but she never got to meet him personally. Since she was younger than Ad, by three years, she was alive when Byakko went 'missing' or at least that's what she remembers her parents telling her.
Quintessa listened and when she heard Ad say sister, a thought came into her mind, "Excuse me, little boy-"
Ad looked back harshly at Quintessa, and he said angrily, "Don't...call...me...little...boy."
His stares sent shivers down her body so she decided to apologize, "I'm sorry...I didn't mean any offense. I just wanted to ask what you meant by 'sister?'"
"Are you dense?" he asked her, "What do you think that means?"
"That girl over there is your sister?" she asked while pointing at Fera.
"Of course!" he yelled back.
"I'm sorry, you don't have to yell at me," she readjusted her posture and asked Ad, "I just want to know, what's your last name?"
At the same time, Fera and Ad told her with pride in their chests, "Arcana!"
After hearing their answers, she looked over at Solis who nodded at her, and she realized who she was in the presence of. Her head started to feel light and excitement started to well up in her chest. She stumbled back a little but she managed to catch herself on a nearby table.
"What's up with her," Fera asked looking at her older brother.
"You'll know soon enough," he told her.
"What does that me-" and then Fera's hands were grabbed by Quintessa's.
She looked at her and yelled, "What are you doing!?"
Quintessa ignored her question and asked her, "Oh my goodness! You two are Solis's siblings?! Does that mean that both of you are d-"
Ad and Fera watched as she mouthed off the last syllables of what she said and they grew wide-eyed as they shot up out of their seats to silence her.
"STOP!" they both said, yelling at Quintessa.
Their sudden aggression got to Quintessa and she grew quiet. She looked back at Solis and asked him, "They don't like the name either Solis?"
"None of us do...we're not the ones who hold it anymore," he said with a grim look on his face.
Quintessa looked back up and only then noticed Muun, who was hidden before by Ad's slightly larger body. She bent back down and whispered into Solis's ear, "Is she?" while pointing at Muun.
Solis gave her another nod and she asked him another question, "but is she your relative too?"
"No, she's a close family friend," he told her.
She recollected herself again and took in the scene before her. In her head, she said, "Oh my goodness! I can't believe there are four of them here!"
Outloud, she said to them, "Ahem, I-I'm sorry for the commotion, I caused. I need to get back to work, so you guys enjoy your meals," she gave a small bow and walked away.
It took a few minutes for their appetite to come back, but once it did they said their thanks and started digging in. Their food was gone shortly after and Solis said, while licking his fingers, "I forgot to ask for bigger portions."
They sat at their table not full and unsatisfied. Ad tossed a piece of crumpled up plastic at Solis and said, "How could you forget? You know we eat a lot."
"My bad, I was focused on ordering the food that it slipped my mind."
"Solis we need to get more, I'm still hungry," complained Muun.
He got up from his seats and told them, "I'll be back with more."
He found himself in front of the register again and told the new person behind it their order. This time, he made sure to ask that their food be tripled in size.
The cashier looked up at Solis and said, "C-could you repeat that again sir? I don't think I quite caught that."
"I wanted our food to be tripled in size," he repeated.
"A-ahem, sir, we can't do that, b-but we can add more to your order."
"You can't? I've been here before and we were able to get our food at thrice the size."
"I-is that so? I'll be right back sir, I'll go check with our manager and see if that's true."
"Alright," said Solis and he moved off to the side to wait for the boy to come back. Since the register was empty, someone else had to be there to take orders, and Quintessa was the one who showed up. He watched her work while he waited for the boy to come back with an answer. He watched her monotonously saying the same few lines over and over again and wondered if a job like that was fun for her. The boy finally came back and told Solis what his manager had said to him.
"I'm sorry for earlier, but it seems we do increase the size of orders, so I'll put that in right away," he brought Solis over to another register to finish taking his order.
When he finished he looked at Solis and told him, "Alright, since you've done this before, you should know we charge you more since your order is being supersized basically."
Solis didn't have a problem and just nodded at the boy.
"Great, your total is one-o-three and seventy-two cents."
Solis brought out a hundred dollar bill and a fifty-dollar bill and handed it over to the boy.
Like before with Quintessa, the boy tried to give him his change but Solis told him to keep it. He walked away before the boy could say any more. Back at the table, when Solis approached, Muun asked him if he got bigger sizes for them. He gave her a reassuring yes and sat back down with them. Muun then went back to talking to Fera and Ad, while Solis picked at his teeth.
More times passed by and two employees soon showed up at their table holding enormous plates. They quickly gave each of them their food and left as soon as they finished. They wasted no more time and started to eat. This time, the food actually lasted longer and they were closer to feeling full. They took a few minutes to devour their food and when they finished not a speck was left on their plates.
They left their plates in a stack at the end of the table and waited for someone to get it before getting up to leave. Fera pulled her book out to pass the time, Muun and Ad conversed with each other again, while Solis went back to cleaning his teeth. It wasn't long before an employee came by to get their plates, and when they did Solis stood up and led the way out the door.
They hopped back into the car on their way back. They were still on the freeway when Solis offered them a suggestion, "Why don't we take a walk around the park or a mall to spend our day? Only if, you don't have anything you need to get back to, Muun," he looked back at her waiting for her approval.
Muun took a second to think and told him, "Lunis didn't tell me anything I needed to help her out with, so I can go for a walk."
"Alright, we'll get going then," he turned the steering wheel to take the exit off the freeway. Solis knew a nearby park and decided to head there.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at the park. Solis put the car under a tree which provided shade for the car, away from the scorching sun. He told everyone that they could get out and walk. The park they were at was huge, it spanned two miles in every direction and had a cement trail that looped around the perimeter of the park. There were also trails cutting through the park itself, and there were numerous playgrounds. Sandpits could also be spotted here and there along with some basketball courts too.
They all walked together, with Solis leading, and just observed their surroundings. They looked at the little kids who ran past them as they walked, they saw parents playing with their children in the distance and saw couples spending time with each other.
They kept walking when a cloaked figure collided with Solis. He turned around to the cloaked figure and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there."
The cloaked figure didn't say anything back and just stood still with its head down. Solis tried talking to them again, "Excuse me?"
He stretched his hand out to tap their shoulder and they jerked their hand up and grabbed his wrist. Solis was caught by surprise with the sudden move but tried not to pull his hand back in fear of injuring the person. Fera and Ad were also spooked from the sudden aggression and readied themselves for a fight. Solis didn't want any unnecessary injuries, so he signaled to them to stand down. His siblings were reluctant, but they did as they were told.
"I don't want to sound rude, but could you let go of my wrist?" he wiggled his wrist trying to free it from the stranger's grasp.
Their hold stayed firm, so Solis decided to be a bit more forceful with them, "I'll ask you one more time. I'd like it if you could let go of me please."
He tried yanking his hand away, but his attempt didn't work. The stranger looked up and Solis could begin to make out some facial features. Their bottom chin looked to have some skin peeling off, but it wasn't bleeding. Instead, it was empty, the patches on their face where there was no skin instead had black, wispy smoke coming out of them. Their mouth had pieces of skin missing from there too which made their bottom teeth visible.
Solis started to grow suspicious of this 'person' and instead of pulling his hand back he asked them, "You're not mortal are you?"
The stranger lifted their head all the way up, and their face came into full view. Their face was gray and decrepit. The features Solis noticed earlier were more grotesque than he thought, and he noticed that their eye sockets were missing a pair of eyes. In their place, were two black orbs, and he noticed two prominent holes at the top of their forehead with the same black smoke coming out of them.
He realized who was standing before him and spoke up, "Y-you're-"
"Hello," said the stranger in a ghastly and raspy voice, "Aurelios..."
Solis heard a name he didn't think he'd hear for another thousand years, and immediately he knew this person was there to cause trouble. He acted quickly and grabbed the stranger's wrist with his left hand, and flung him away. They tumbled in the air as they flew across the park, but they suddenly stopped in mid-air. Solis, his siblings, and Muun all witnessed as the stranger put themselves upright and shed their cloak.
In full view, they saw a ghastly figure whose bottom half was missing, and was replaced with black smoke. Their arms were frail but jagged and harsh with odd objects protruding from their skin. Multiple holes riddled the body of the stranger all of which had black smoke pouring out of them.
On their back hung a deadly weapon, a scythe meant for slaying mortals and other living things. The blade was long and curvy with jagged teeth. The snath of the scythe had a rugged appearance, and a shade of black but was also slightly transparent. At the bottom of the scythe, was a handle with ornamental bones strung across its structure. At this point, a multitude of people had noticed the commotion unfurl.
Solis had not seen one of these beings in over a decade, and he thought he wouldn't have to for a long time. Their presence meant something had changed, and Solis had a sinking feeling he would be experiencing more trouble in the coming days.
From the ground, he looked up at the stranger and shouted, "Wraith! Tell me why you're here now?!"
"Great Aurelios, the Great Ones have gotten restless, they seek your audience and have been greatly annoyed since by your sudden absence many years ago," said the Wraith, "I am here to bring you to them."
"What do they need me for?!" he yelled back harshly, "If they seek guidance, they should ask the current guardians for theirs! You should know they were the ones who deemed us useless and threw us away, even after all we had done for them!"
"No, the Great Ones say they have found a use for you again Aurelios. Don't you know? The scent of calamity is in the air."
"What they do became irrelevant to me when they saw to my parent's death! If they face any sort of calamity, they are fully deserving of it!"
"You do not understand, Aurelios, this 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 involve you sooner or later, you just do not know it..."
"I am not naive, lowly Wraith. Whatever calamity may come I will deal with, but the days my light has guided them are long over, the only people who I help are those close to me."
"You're are making a mistake Aurelios, the Great Ones will not be happy with this."
"I do not care if I make them unhappy, Wraith!"
"If you will not be compliant, Aurelios, then I will force you to meet the Great Ones."
"I will give you a warning, stop using that name because if you don't I will make sure to send you back to them a failure," he looked up at the Wraith with killing intent behind his eyes.
"So it shall be, Aurelios, " said the Wraith and he pulled the scythe off his back, ready to fight.
"Face your end!" shouted Solis at the Wraith.
Solis squatted down and hurled himself towards the wraith in the air. He tried to tackle the Wraith but just passed through them instead.
"Naive," said the Wraith.
Solis looked back and saw the Wraith flying towards the family they had seen earlier. He landed and hurled himself at the Wraith again.
"I won't let you!" he screamed.
But it seemed that the Wraith had gotten a big enough head start and was already at the family's location. Solis knew what he had to do, but he didn't want to reveal himself to the people there and instead tried something else to stop the Wraith.
He let some of his Essence leak out of his left arm and accumulate in his hand. After a certain amount had collected, he swung his fist and launched his essence at the Wraith. The Wraith sensed his attack and sliced the projectile into pieces with his scythe. Where the pieces of Solis's broken Essence had landed, holes in the ground were formed. The Wraith looked back at the family and swung his scythe down onto them.
As the scythe came down, the little girl screamed, and her cry of help did not go unnoticed. The scythe was stopped before it could take the life of the child's mother. The Wraith looked up at who was holding his scythe, and he said to them, "It seems I forgot you were here as well...Harlequeen."
Before him was Fera and she said to the Wraith menacingly, "I will make sure you don't touch a hair on these mortal's heads."
She quickly pulled the scythe away from the Wraith, and went up to him, and grabbed his face. She cocked her arm back and tossed his body into a nearby patch of trees. Bark and splinters flung everywhere as the Wraith's body collided with the trees. He wasn't too badly injured so he got up quickly and shook off the debris. Having made space between them and the family behind her, Fera turned around and told them, "Please I ask that you tell everyone else at the park to evacuate. I will not explain to you why, but if you want to live you will do as I say."
The mother shook her head and dragged her husband and daughter along with her. Soon enough, they told the other bystanders to evacuate. The park was emptying out as Solis came up to his sister.
"Thanks for the help, Fera," he told her, "I can take it from here."
He stepped forward but was stopped by Fera.
"What are you doing?" he asked her.
"You've done enough, something tells me you need to keep yourself hidden, we can't give them any notion of where we might be."
"But-" he tried to argue back.
"Just don't question it, brother! I can tell our lives up until now will change. Ad and I loved the peace we've had these many years, but he and I knew that someday we'd have to go back to how things were before. We were helpless before, but now he and I are strong enough to support you," she looked back at her brother with determined eyes, "With us here with you, Aurelios we'll take back what was once ours."
Solis looked at his determined sister and nodded, "We start today, Harlequeen. Everything that's been taken, we will get back," he told her with the same amount of determination in his eyes.
He left her side and ran back down towards Ad, "Ad make sure these people are not harmed by anything you got it?"
"Nothing will come close to them, brother! You have my word they will come out unscathed!"
Ad, with Muun accompanying him, took off and corralled the people who were confused and lost. They helped the old escape and brought the children who were separated from their parents back to them.
Solis stood guard and watched as his sister prepared to fight.
The Wraith finally got out of the mess of trees he was tossed into and began flying towards Fera.
"I will take your head first, Harlequeen."
"You'll be dead before that happens," and she snarled at the Wraith.
Fera's canines grew sharp, and her figure started changing. Like with what happened to Solis during his fight with Quintessa, her once small frame was now muscular and tall. She had finished preparing to fight.
She took the first move and flew towards the Wraith. The Wraith swung his scythe at her, but she caught the snath again and flung the Wraith towards the ground, and her attack made a massive crater on the park grounds. The Wraith's body was flat on the ground, surrounded by layers of dirt, but Fera continued her assault and flew at the Wraith. She grabbed his face and dragged it across the ground. After, she tossed his body the other direction and quickly caught up to it as it was flying. She used both her hands and slammed down onto the Wraith.
From where she slammed him, a blade emerged and cut a piece of her shirt. She quickly retaliated and snatched the scythe and broke it. She bent down and grabbed the Wraith's arm and ripped it off his body. The Wraith screamed and he swung his other arm at her, but she caught that and ripped it off as well.
She threw his body against the ground and began pummeling the Wraith. She was viciously throwing her hands at the wraith and with every swing, they sunk deeper and deeper into the earth. After her aggressive assault, she picked the Wraith back up, who was now a tattered rag and a clump of smoke. His face was stripped of all its remaining skin and revealed his skull.
"An insult to us, to have been sent such a weakling, " she said as he held his tattered body in her hands.
"The Great Ones seemed to have forgotten why we held dominion for so long alongside them before the newcomers came along."
"I told you before, Wraith, that you would be dead long before you could take my head, and for you to have not taken my word for it, shows how foolish you are. The Great Ones can try and force the Arcanas back under their thumb, but we'll make sure we bite off every one of their heads before they get the chance!"
"Let your death mark the start of our journey. The Arcanas will take back their glory, and we'll kill those who try to stop us!"
A bright red glow emanated off of Fera's hands and she started pouring her Essence into her fingers. Before killing the Wraith, Fera told him one last thing, "When you see them, tell them what I told you now...Disappear."
She released her Essence into the Wraith, and she tossed his body high into the sky. At the peak of his height, he blew up in a massive explosion that sent out shockwaves across the park.
She jumped out of the crater she had made and immediately began working to repair it. As she relaxed, her body started changing back to normal. On the other side of the crater, she noticed that her brothers were helping mend the damage to the park. Ad had gone around fixing some trees that were damaged by the fight, and Solis helped Fera fix the massive crater.
Soon enough they finished repairing the park, and Solis asked Ad to find the evacuees and bring them back to the park. A few minutes later, he flew back with evacuees and set them down. They were all shaking since Ad had wrapped all of them in his Essence and made them fly alongside him as he flew back to the park. All eyes were on Ad as he walked back up to his brother.
"Listen up!" he yelled at the people.
"We would like to apologize for the damage caused here today at the park, and as you can see we repaired it!"
"B-but how though?" spoke up one person.
"We won't say, but we hope all of you are unhurt and safe. Today must have been a traumatic experience for you all so we will help with that."
"What do you mean by that?" asked another person.
"Don't worry," reassured Solis.
Muun, Fera, and Ad all took spots around the crowd of people and all of them inhaled. Before they let out a certain smoke, Fera was approached by the little girl she had saved earlier.
"Thank you for saving us, nice lady. I hope to see you again someday," and the girl went back to her parents.
As she followed the girl running back to her parents, she saw all of them smiling and waving at her. She gave them a nod and when she heard Solis's signaled, she exhaled.
The culmination of Solis's, Ad's, Fera's, and Muun's smoke swept across the feet of the people standing there. At first, many were startled, but they soon forgot and went into a relaxed state and stood still. As soon as the smoke affected all the people there, like zombies, they went back to what they were doing before the fight. They soon returned to normal and resumed their day. The park was filled with laughter and voices again and everyone there acted as if nothing major had happened minutes before. That's because they no longer had any memory of it.
Solis huddled up everyone else and told them, "I think it's time we head back home. We don't want to disturb anyone here anymore."
They all nodded in agreement and headed back towards the car. They found themselves back on the freeway and headed home.
