"Gotta get to the infirmary.. before it's to-"
Gunfire interrupted the statement, this was the second attack and it sounded like it was coming from the infirmary.
"Oh crap, oh crap oh crap oh crap. No no no.. please God tell me they are alive.." Rita Cried.
Not even trying to hold back tears she ran into the infirmary. The first thing she saw was a body on the ground, she put a hand over her eyes and didn't dare to look. She decided she had to look to know if they survived. She saw the nurse's body, but no one else, she sighed, relived Jack and Max weren't dead there. She really liked the school nurse and decided to put a blanket over her body. She tried to call Jack then heard a vibrating, and exclaimed, "Jack?! Max!? Are you there!?"
The vibrating continued without an answer, then she noticed the phone by itself outside the door. She then assumed they were forced to run for an emergency.
Jack stood in the doorway of the classroom, crying. Then he realized something, he never checked Max's pulse. He held his breath and checked, there was a pulse although not much of one. Then he went to grab his phone out of his pocket—except, it wasn't there. He realized he must have dropped it while running and decided to quickly run back.
Rita wasn't sure what to do, she knew she couldn't just sit around and wait, she had to get moving. She thought, "Maybe they left the building to safety, I should go to Jack's house, that must be where they'd go first!"
She picked up Jack's phone and ran down the hall to the stairs, then realized the stairs had collapsed. She decided that it'd be best to jump from the Art room window onto the dumpster and go from there. She ran to the Art room only to find the window blocked by rubble, so she began to move the rubble and get out of the building—just then a loud explosion shook the school, she noticed the area around the infirmary collapse and the entire West Wing of the school.
Jack had one last hall to go to reach the infirmary, suddenly a loud explosion shook the school and the floor under him began to crack and some pieces began to fall in. He let out a scream and began to fall.
