The Man:
"The fight between King Atlan and Atlantis versus King Kordax and Necrus was one of the fiercest and most dangerous fights I have ever been in," I start. I raise my hand and start drawing circles. The throne room, with King Atlan, I, and the Necrus refugees, then all vanish. It swirls into blurs of colors, then fades away. Now, instead of standing inside a beautiful blue sky with white marble towers embedded with gold, we are all standing on a white and blue bridge underneath a black and green sky. Aquaman, his guards, and everyone except me jump when they hear shouting and screaming.
King Atlan's soldiers, clad in white and golden armor, with laser rifles and spears, charged against King Kordax's undead soldiers, nothing more than black, burnt skeletons with a glowing green energy. A few of King Kordax's soldiers were wearing something similar to a scuba helmet and jetpacks. As we charged toward them, they flew into the air and jumped back down.
"Oh, son of a--", Harleen screams. We all turn and see Harleen jumping at least ten feet back. "What in the world is that thing!"
We follow Harleen's finger as she points at a massive, octopus-like machine. With ten long, rusted arms, the undead soldier who was piloting the thing played with the controls. The machine then swung one of its arms, hitting some of the king's men.
"Arrgghhh!"
Turning their heads, they once again see me. Wearing a new set of armor, a leather hood with a brown cloak, and light armor over it, I roared as I ran through the crowd of soldiers and the undead, twin swords at my sides.
Spinning and swinging my swords, I cut two undead skeletons in half; their green glows disappeared as soon as the halves hit the ground. I didn't even have time to breathe before more undead soldiers lunged at me. They surrounded me from all sides and reached out with their hands.
Stabbing the first undead through its mouth and skull, I flipped my second sword around and impaled a second undead coming from behind me. Pulling out both my blades, I moved like the wind, hacking and slashing through countless undead soldiers. However, no matter how many I killed, there are also more to replace them.
I'm quickly overwhelmed. As I stabbed one undead through its chest, another one lunged at me from behind. It wrapped its cold arms around my neck. Opening its mouth, about to bite a chunk out of me, King Atlan rushes in and stabs the undead with his golden trident.
"Ezio," King Atlan shouted. "Are you okay?"
"Sort of," I replied, rubbing my neck. Taking a quick sniff, the smell hit my nose like an out-of-control truck. "Though I might need to burn these clothes after this fight. Darn."
King Atlan turned when he heard another screaming, only different. This screaming wasn't like anything we have ever heard before. It shook the bridge, the land, and even the sky. All of King Atlan's soldiers and even the undead stopped when they heard it. Turning ourselves, we saw him.
The undead parted ways and created a pathway for King Kordax himself. It felt like the air itself turned into ice. I looked around and saw many soldiers shaking. Even King Atlan himself is shaking, but I couldn't tell if it's from fear or anger.
King Kordax looked right at King Atlan and me. He opened with his boney jaw and roared again. Pointing at us with his black trident, the army of the undead attacked. They grabbed many soldiers and killed them, either by throwing them off the bridge or crushing them with their machines. King Kordax himself charged toward King Atlan and me. The king and I charged toward him.
Making the first move, I slid underneath King Kordax's swing and pushed myself up. Jumping, I swung my swords from all directions, but King Kordax blocked all my attacks. Sparks jump off my swords and King Kordax's trident as we duel. Running in from behind, King Atlan tried to stab King Kordax from behind, but he moved too fast. Using his new supernatural strength, King Kordax swung his black trident again. Raising my twin swords to block, my eyes widened when I saw them breaking. Shattering into shards, King Kordax turned and fought King Atlan.
The two kings duel against each other, the sounds of their clashing tridents echoing louder than the screams and shouts of the undead and soldiers surrounding us. Watching from behind as King Kordax quickly forced King Atlan to back away, I threw away my two swords' handles and ran toward the evil king.
Running to him as fast as I can, I jumped off a passing undead, using it as a launching pad. While in mid-air, I flicked my wrist and a hidden steel blade shot out.
Stabbing King Kordax in his neck, he screamed as I twisted and pushed the hidden blade. King Kordax tried to throw me off, but while he was focused on me, King Atlan stepped forward. Swinging his golden trident down, King Atlan chopped off King Kordax's hand and also broke the black trident. Pulling my hidden blade out, King Kordax stumbled back before falling back down. With King Kordax down, his undead soldiers fell, too. Freezing in places, they started falling to the ground, one-by-one.
King Atlan looked at me. I looked back at the King Atlan. Smiling and bowing my head, I flicked my wrist again, and my hidden blade slid back in.
"As you can see," I say, grabbing everyone's attention. "King Atlan and I defeated the evil King Kordax and his undead soldiers."
I raise my hand again and draw more circles. The memory of the war between Atlantis and Necrus fades away, and we find ourselves back in King Kordax's throne room. King Kordax is wrapped in chains. He screamed and shouted. He demanded to be released, but we all ignored him.
"Wait," Aquaman says, "I thought you and my grandfather defeated King Kordax."
"We did. We defeated him, but we didn't kill him. We couldn't. The same orichalcum magic that corrupted King Kordum and changed his subjects also made him harder to kill. We didn't have much time to find a way, so instead, King Atlan sealed him, his army, and his whole kingdom away."
I nudge my head toward King Atlan. I handed him one of my daggers.
"Ezio, please," King Atlan said. I bowed my head and pulled a dagger from my cloak.
"King Atlan used his own blood to trap all of Necrus in ice. The whole kingdom was frozen, and it was meant to be forever. That is why, after sealing Necrus, we burned all records of the kingdom and wiped its name from Atlantis's history."
This memory fades and switches to a new memory. It shows me with many ancient Altanis librarians and historians. We are destroying stone tablets, burning scrolls, and even scratching the names off many walls.
"As for the orichalcum," I say, "Well, that was a different story. We couldn't burn that without risking poisoning the air, but King Atlan did not want it anywhere near Atlantis."
"So what did you do with it?" Kara asks.
"The same thing we did with Necrus," I answer. "We sealed the remaining supplies of orichalcum. We placed them in specially-made containers and then buried those containers in unmarked locations."
"If these containers were buried in unmarked locations," Aquaman says, "Then how did David Kane find any?"
"I have no idea. Shortly after wiping Necrus's name from history and burying the containers with orichalcum, I left Altantics."
"You left Atlantic?" the Professor asks.
I nod and move the memory forward. It shows King Atlan, his guards, and many subjects at the ancient dock. Everyone turned when they saw me walking onto the dock with two large backpacks, one on my back and the second hanging from my shoulder. King Atlan smiled and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Are you sure he will not stay?" King Atlan asked. "Atlantis will not be the same without you, dear friend."
"I am sure, my King," I replied, bowing my head. I turned around and looked at everyone. "As much as I do not want to do this, my time has come. I must go now. Everyone, I cannot thank you enough for accepting me. These last years have been amazing."
I bowed my head again, waved bye to everyone, and jumped onto my boat.
Everyone keep watching as I sailed further and further away from Atlantis. With the memory over, I snap my fingers, and we find ourselves back in the present-day throne room. Aquaman and his guards are frozen as they look at me. I cross my arms.
"Like I said. Orichalcum is what is poisoning you, your guards, and your citizens. Somehow, Black Matan found it, combined it with smallpox, and infected your whole kingdom."
