A spiraling wave of golden light erupted from Gustav's palm, crashing down onto Avaris, obliterating the crystalline ground in a radiant explosion.
However, Avaris stood untouched as the light unraveled before it reached him.
"This is my domain," Avaris stated. "Here, I am the law."
Gustav's eyes narrowed. He leapt forward, teleporting through dimensional slits. His fist met Avaris' palm and the impact collapsed a swath of the dimension, sucking space inward before rebounding in a burst of light and debris.
Avaris then proceeded to split into ten versions of himself, perfectly replicating his full power and speed.
Gustav was forced to retreat as he turned into a lightning bolt that streaked from one point to another, dodging a thousand deadly strikes.
"This isn't cloning," Gustav muttered as he twisted mid-air, barely avoiding an energy blade that sliced through four planes of space. "These are full-powered versions of himself."
