"Did you hear about that time he threw an explosive tag, and it killed twenty enemy shinobi before exploding?"

What?!

"I heard he built the hospital he was born in. This one actually!"

That made even less sense than the staring at the sun one! 'How did they come up with this stuff?' Sakura just stared in disbelief.

Admittedly, ever since that broadcast where Daiki defeated not only Orochimaru, but multiple other enemy ninja confirmed to be S-rank ninja, Kage-level ninja by Orochimaru himself. And then was crowned as Hokage by the Sandaime himself - there had been a perpetual cheer and sense of victory throughout the village.

There had been parties of celebration lasting days. People truly honestly thought Daiki was unbeatable. Especially after his speech and where he unveiled that absurd flying fortress that floated above the village now.

…But this was even more absurd than that somehow. Where were these kids hearing this nonsense from?

"I heard he once donated blood to a dying man. And that man became the First Hokage!"

"Yeah, well I heard he once forgot to go to the academy for two days. And that's how we got Saturday and Sunday!"

Was the last she heard of the kids before they disappeared around the corner, and Sakura just stood there and stared.

Was she so tired she was hallucinating? Her fingers twitched, before she brought her hands up into a single hand seal and circulated her chakra, "Kai." she unleashed a genjutsu dispel.

…Nothing changed.

"You know, I heard that god himself, the Sage of Six Paths begged the Godaime Hokage to be his successor because of how cool and awesome he is." a familiar voice spoke up from behind her.

And she whirled around on instinct, to find a familiar, tall and broadly muscled boy grinning at her, scarlet red eyes glinting in amusement.

"Daiki!" she exclaimed, eyes lighting up and butterflies tingling in her stomach. Before she remembered what she just saw and heard, and smacked him lightly on the chest, "What the heck was that? Did you put those kids up to that just to mess with me?"

"I actually didn't," Daiki snorted, sharp canines glinting as he chuckled, "I didn't even know you were here. I was coming to meet Tsunade and Lee so we could get him properly healed up and back to active duty."

Oh.

Lee had said before that Daiki promised him that. But it was finally happening. She couldn't help but smile. She was quite fond of Lee. And she was happy he'd be able to be a ninja again.

Wait. He was distracting her, as he always did.

She shook her head, "Then what was that?" she gestured down the hallway towards where the kids had been before rounding the corner, "Where did those kids come up with such nonsense from?"

"I said I never put them up to it, I never said the knowledge didn't come from me," Daiki just continued grinning at her in amusement, "I've had transformed clones spread throughout the village spreading facts about myself, and my abilities and such to add to my reputation. To help people become more familiar with me and feel more at ease with me as the Hokage to protect them."

So it was him!

She knew it!

Sakura gave him a dry look, "And to do that you're spreading ridiculously false facts about your blood making the First Hokage strong, building this hospital before you were born, and creating solar eclipses?"

Daiki raised a brow at her, "How do you know they're false?"

"Well for one, the First Hokage made this village long before you were born," Sakura rolled her eyes, "How about that? Unless you can time travel that would be impossible."

"I can time travel though?" Daiki crossed his arms, grin turning into a smug smirk, "I know of at least three different methods of time travel."

Bullshit!

There was absolutely no way. "Time travel doesn't exist, pull the other one you goof," Sakura shook her head, "Honestly, I can't believe you're the Hokage sometimes."

"We're time travelling right now," Daiki's smirk grew, "By one second, every second. Every sixty seconds, a minute passes you know?"

She didn't even dignify that with a response, and just glared.

Daiki just laughed, before raising one of his muscular arms and placing it on the wall behind her. And almost instinctively, Sakura found herself pressing herself back against it, and looking up into his eyes as he stared down into hers, "In all seriousness, I do actually know of a few time travelling methods. Space-Time ninjutsu, can seriously mess with time as well," Daiki told her, voice low, serious and supremely confident. She found herself swallowing heavily and biting her lip, "I actually have to go deal with one in the near future and seal it away before it becomes a problem. You can come with me if you want, see the proof for yourself."

Her stomach fluttered. And despite herself, she couldn't help but believe him a bit. Time travel sounded ridiculous, but when Daiki was actually being serious, and after seeing what he could truly do.

It became very convincing.

After all, he'd joked around about being the next Hokage, hadn't he? And that had been true. And lots of things he'd joked about before, turned out to be true.

How much of the nonsensical, absurd things that he said, were actually true? If even a third of them were, it would be horrifying.

Had he actually travelled back in time and gave blood to Hashirama Senju? No, that didn't matter, she wouldn't believe that nonsense at least without proof.

"Is that a date then?" she fired back on instinct.

"If you want it to be," Daiki replied, eyes smouldering in a way that made her breath hitch. He stared down at her like he wanted to devour her whole, and her heart hammered in her chest, "I'm glad I ran into you actually."

"Yeah?" Sakura found herself grinning back at him, licking her lips to wet them.

And make them look glossy and more inviting hopefully.

"I've been super busy, so didn't have time to come see you right away, amongst others," Daiki told her, "I've decided to promote you to Chuunin." he revealed, holding up his other hand, and suddenly where there was nothing, there was a familiar green flak vest.
