"Good, cut!" the director shouted.
He glanced at his watch and added, "Take ten minutes, then we'll shoot Scene One, Shot Two again."
The first scene had taken a long time to shoot. Renee Langdon had been NG'd many times and heard the director shout "cut" at her over and over, of course the other actors had too.
Director Warren's requirements were really strict. She was exhausted, but luckily she'd done plenty of prep work beforehand, so even if her acting wasn't great, at least she basically didn't forget her lines.
She had no idea whether the director was more or less satisfied with her.
Just as she was feeling uneasy, the director walked over, patted her shoulder, and, smiling with squinted eyes, praised her, "Not bad, Renee, you've really got your lines down. I can tell you did your homework. This styling suits you very well, it's just that your face on camera seems to have a bit of baby fat."
