Eleanor in question was having the worst of it all. She blamed herself to the limit. Eleanor knew that Austin wouldn't have ended up like this if it weren't for her, and she was racked with guilt. She had stayed by Austin's side continuously for the first three days, but responsibilities and a burning desire for revenge had pulled her aside.
Eleanor once again felt how weak she really is. To have Austin fall over like this, unknown when he will wake up, was the worst for her. Perhaps torture would have been better than this. The guilt she felt was eating her up every day, and she channelled that into getting the biggest compensation from the war council.
