Chapter 12 - Chapter 11: Both Sides (1)

Since Dark already decided, his subordinates have nothing to say. They wouldn't say otherwise. Even Amethyst who is really against it can't retort anymore.

With that, Ryuzaki, happy and content that he had the agreement of Dark. He quickly helped Rami and led him into his room that is placed on the second floor where he will stay temporarily.

Of course, Ryuzaki made sure to get the approval of their attending doctor.

"Is this room okay with you?" Ryuzaki asks Rami.

Ryuzaki slowly guides Rami into the room.

As soon as they entered the room, Rami examined the room. The said room is gray in color with a touch of white and black. A king-size bed in the middle with beautiful monochrome paintings hanging into the wall above it.

On the other hand, there are some indoor plants that were placed on the corners. Just right beside a bedside table. There was also a bathroom on the side.

Very stylish and cozy.

The part that satisfies him the most is the large glass window leading to the balcony, which overlooks the backyard. Through it, he can see the wide garden and, beyond that, the perfect view of the greenery a peaceful mountain should have.

What a beautiful site!

'So this is a glimpse of Dark Reaper's Private Sanctuary. My beloved's nest.' Rami commented silently.

A little bit excited because he had always wanted to enter the Dark Reaper's Private Sanctuary. The own territory of his beloved where he always hides from the public.

"I love this room but—- is it really okay for me to stay in here?" Rami asked Ryuzaki, pretending to be nervous and a little bit uncomfortable since this is supposed to be his 'first time' in having this kind of room. Though satisfied, he still didn't forget what his identity was right now.

"It's okay, feel free to use anything that is within this room. No one will criticize or say anything to you." Ryuzaki answered him with a gentle smile.

"Okay then." Rami nodded. Then added, "Then what do I need to do to pay?"

Ryuzaki is speechless.

He did say that he was here for him to recover. For free. In exchange for how he saved him previously. That's why they quarreled, right? Did he already forget that?

"You don't need to do anything." Ryuzaki persuaded Rami.

"But—"

"No buts, you just need to lie down, sleep, eat here if you're hungry, and take a rest until you recover." Ryuzaki cut off Rami's protest.

Ryuzaki led Rami into the bed and tucked him up. After making sure that Rami's comfortable. He told him to take a quick nap.

When Rami was about to reject him again, he demanded that he do it.

Already made sure that Rami will sleep for a while because he is so concerned that he is already tired. He signed with approval.

After saying goodbye, he reminds him that he'll be back later. With one last glance, he steps through the door and closes it, leaving Rami—who is pretending to sleep—alone.

At the Deveraux Mansion . . . . .

"How's Ashera?" asked Astera from the person who directly entered his office without paying attention to the said person.

He only keeps looking at the document that he is holding and reading right now.

"Fortunately, it's not fatal. The bullet went into his shoulder, so he's unable to do anything right now. I'm sure he's restless because of that." answered by the said person.

Astera takes his attention off the document to look at the man who enters the room.

It's their third brother— Grayheme— who wore his reading glasses with his reddish hair emphasizing his piercing eyes which promised a dangerous situation at the moment.

Grayheme is totally not in a good mood.

Even knowing that their fourth brother is out of danger, Astera really couldn't let it go just like that.

Rami is their baby brother, second only to the youngest. Even if they don't show it for some reason, they really cherish and love him. But because of that 'thing', they always act that way toward him for his safety, even if it causes a big misunderstanding.

"That's good. Then where is he?" Astera asked Grayheme.

Grayheme, who is surpassing his irritation, answered Astera with a sullen voice, "At Dark Reaper's Mansion. I just found out that he will be there until he recovers at the request of 'that' Knight's people. The one our fourth brother saved."

"Heh, that little thing didn't even inform us." Astera commented simply.

With that said, silence surrounds them.

Both brothers became gloomy as their moods turned grim.

How could their fourth brother agree to hand his recovery to others instead of them? They want to care for him too.

"Forget it! Did you find out who caused this mess?" Astera broke the silence.

No matter how bad their mood is, they need to finish the most important thing.

"Yes." Grayheme nodded.

"Then gear up." Astera commanded with an icy tone.
