"Welcome to Paradise, Mr. Lynch, and this is...," Horn stood at the door like some sort of mystic, greeting everyone. He seemed to have deliberately imitated the Shepherd's attire.
This made him, and everything here, seem absurd.
Who would have thought there was a "Land Beyond the Law" within the Federation, it's so damn magical!
"Austin," Lynch gave him a gentle reminder.
"Yes, and Miss Austin, thank you so much for coming. I guarantee it will be an unforgettable night!"
Horn was very enthusiastic. He shook Lynch's hand but did not extend his hand to Austin, which was not in line with social etiquette.
Following the lead of a girl, Lynch and Austin entered the interior of Paradise Island.
"Do you have a mission?" Lynch slowed his pace slightly, creating some distance with the girl ahead, and asked a question that caught Austin off guard.
Seeing her expression, Lynch knew he had guessed correctly. "Do you need some private time?"
